I'd buy myself a pair of Starburys if Steph gets 20 tonight.
PHX Suns: Russell Westbrook, Chris Bosh, Tristan Thompson, Trevor Ariza, Tony Allen, Trey Lyles, Corey Brewer, Larry Nance Jr., Trey Burke, Troy Daniels, Joffrey Lauvergne, Justin Holiday, Mike Muscala, 14.6

Starbury back to back heat checks?

Yup.

I'll grant him those.  The problem with the old Starbury was that he was constantly on a heat check!
Yup

As much as I like the offense right now, the defense sucks

This season I've seen our total defense only applied in five minute or so stretches.  Usually once in the second or third quarter and once again in the fourth.

I don't care that the Magic are up 4 -- that stint by the bench was great.  We lost nothing and looked much more like the bench toward the end of the season (rather than against the Bulls).  Marbury was great and the spacing provided open shots for Eddie.  Plus -- some real rest for Rondo, Perk and Pierce.

Hedo Turkoglu looks really good. A couple of very nice possessions with Gortat on the screen and roll. Bad sign for the series.

What annoys me: Eddie hits a nice shot, and then we don't set him up for another shot for 5+ minutes and counting...

I have to say our D leaves a lot to be desired so far.

Yeah...  It's going to be tough if we have to contain Howard, Lewis, and a hot Turkuglu.

  • Rondo = Good
I'm amazed how we're not defending the perimeter that well considering they are known as THE 3 point shooting team.

Also, we desperately need to get more points in the paint, we're being forced to settle for jumpshots time and time again and Perk hasn't been able to score inside - only Pierce has been able to early on with a few nice cuts but we see those less and less from him these days.
