i have to assume heinrich will be suspended. the nba woul dbe hypocrites if they did not. he shoved rondo in the face with two hands after the whistle. a very dirty play.

Except he only got a technical.  But missing that layup towards the end of the game was humiliating enough to make up for it.

But by the letter of the law (the NBA rulebook), a shove, be it one handed or two, is not grounds for suspension.  However a closed handed strike of any kind, or an elbow, is.

It'll be interesting to see how they interpret Rondo's reaction when they review the tape.  I'm thinking they will not suspend him because he didn't directly aim at Kirk's head.  It looked more like a defensive "get off of me" type elbow.

I'm almost certain they'll just fine Rondo and be done with the whole "flagrant" controversy.

That would be the most prudent course of action for the NBA... hopefully they know what's best for themselves. TP.
Grab a few boards, keep the TO's under 14, close out on shooters and we'll win.

once it is reviewed, you have to suspend heinrich. everything else was pre-whistle. he took a running start at rondo, hit him with two hands to the shoulder/head area. this is a no-brainer to me, but of course we are talking about the nba front office here. heinrich suspension is very clear cut to me.

I really don't think it's going to be reviewed.  That sort of stuff only gets reviewed if people are talking about it, making a big deal about it, and right now all the people that might be doing that are ecstatic and celebrating because their team just won in triple overtime.

You think so?  Because I'm pretty sure the whole controversy surrounding the last game wouldn't have even happened if it had been called a flagrant and B. Miller had made those shots and the Bulls went on to win.

It was only a big deal because people had this perception that it affected the outcome.  You can't say that about this time.

Ya, I missed the first half.  Just saw the replay.  I'm worried.  Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline. was he thinking?
