Rondo suspended for possible Game 7? (UPDATE: Rondo will play in Game 7)

If the Celts lose Game 6 and Rondo gets suspended for that flagrant 1, they might be done for.  Lets hope they can wrap this up tonight.  Not looking good so far, but the Bulls are a streaky team, so anything can happen.

The Bulls are also in pretty bad foul trouble right now, so there's a plus.

It all comes down to how hard Hinrich hit the table, and if they think Rondo put him there on purpose (he definitely threw him off on purpose). 

Either way, and win or lose, get ready to hear a LOT of Rondo hate tomorrow.

I highly doubt they will suspend him for that-- it just doesn't seem like anything worth making a fuss over. I though the refs were gonna get baited into blowing that call and making it an ejection but props to them, they made the right call.

unfortunately i believe the league values the opinion of barkley and kenny smith. charles does'nt like the celtics.they both already thought the last one should have been flagrant. i have to think the league is gonna be pretty much sayin' you were pushing your luck with the last one. i hate to say it but i think he almost should be suspended.i sure hope not though.

Yeah, but it wasn't malicious and it wasn't called a flagrant on the court.  This was called a flagrant, and definitely was no accident.  And he's already skating on thin ice from the Game 5 incident.  If D-wight was suspended for his elbow, this will probably call for a suspension as well.  

Let's just hope this series is wrapped up tonight.  I can live with a Rondo-less Game 1.

what are you guys smoking , Suspended? he didnt do much of anything except throw hinrich off of him. If anyone should be suspended it should be Hinrich for throwing a running elbow to Rondo's chest/ throat area

Unless the league decides his little elbow shove/gesture is a punch he won't be suspended.

Hinrich's arm got stuck inside Rondo's jersey as they locked up arms, the Rondo gave him a pull. He'll play in the next game.

No, i highly doubt a suspension, flagrant 1 at most for the pull and throw.  The elbow was more of the ref holding him and him trying not to get hit, not a blatant one like Dwight.  I am suprised it wasnt a double T though.  Heinrich was cocked and ready to go though, heinrich was lucky the ref was already there or he mightve done something to get ejected/suspended.

I see what you guys are saying, but would a suspension really surprise you?  Dwight's elbow wasn't that bad either.  It was the intent that got him suspended.

wasnt that bad? Howard wound up and threw an elbow to Dalembert's face. It's not even comparable ......

Rondo dragged Hinrich and threw Hinrich across his body. Where did you get you description from? Tommy glasses?

Hopefully the league is satisfied with how the refs handled it.
