Blaming this loss on one person is crap. I told you guys before the series that without superlative defense the off-season is coming, and soon.

So how does Rose get 36? How does Tyrus Freaking Thomas go off?

We aren't good enough defensively to overcome the loss of Garnett, apparently. Get used to it. It's a team loss.

Ultimately you're right....but it can not be denied that ray allen literally played his worst game this season....and quite frankly im pretty mad about it, considering what he did in last years first rounds

Is everyone forgetting how poorly Ray Allen played the first several games in the playoffs last year? How deflating would it be if the defending champions went out in the first round? One other issue today -- Our bench was HORRENDOUS

i could punch someone in the face. RAY TAKES THE SHOT?!?!

I hope it's Doc Rivers' play board. ;)
**** man. take it easy.

nah. this is a real playoff game, not a disney movie... thats not the shot you want at all.

Yeah but what more do you want them/him to do? 2.6 left on the clock and he was the only one to come to the ball which RR had trouble inbounding. Could have passed but we wouldn't have hit the shot in time and no-one was open enough.

If anything blame Doc for drawing up a (rare) bad play

i'm saying Ray shouldn't have even been on the floor.

Ok. If so, then maybe your post should have been as above.

oh and we shouldnt need KG to make sure our guys are up and intense. I never liked that thought, he may be the mental/emotional leader, but these guys have got to take ever possesion seriously. They didnt today and they should be embarassed
Back to wanting Joe fired.

Bad game? Yeah.

You want to love up Rondo for getting absolutely lit up by Rose?

Plenty of blame to go around.

Been talking to you guys for awhile about the lack of effort, too. Remember the phrase, "You can't just flip a switch and turn it on?"

No one should be surprised here.

The team played like it needed a smack in the face, and it got one.  Let's see how they respond the next game before declaring that the sky is falling -- it's not like we strolled through the playoffs unscathed last year, remember.  I think when the team watches the game film, they'll see the mistakes they were making.

Also should add, Rondo's incredibly poor play on defense balanced his really good play on offense. Well, if they lose in the first round, the best thing will be the large credit I get toward my half-season tickets for next year!

we can beat them, how many nights will Ray Allen be 1-12. Tonight we should have put in TA or House at the 2. PP will come out with a vengeance in game 2.

i disagree...this team hasn't come out with  vengeance in a long long time....young athletic teams like the bulls are the worst match up for boston....if you can't come out ready to play at home and defend your title and drop your first home game...you are not going to win....this team cannot just flip the switch like a lot of people thought....the way they played down the stretch is really who they are....philly getting the 6 seed was the worst thing for boston...

so they win game 2...then go to chicago for 2...they need both games in chicago

Mikki Moore proved to all of us that he will be completely useless off the bench.

Bad rotation on defense, can't make a layup, foul prone, etc.

Marbury, not much better.

Then Ray has the worst game I've ever seen him have when we need him most.  I'm going to go smash something.

I agree, and I knew it all along that rose would be a seriously problem...so I wasnt suprised by it...I was suprised by Noah and Thomas playing career bastetball (unnacceptable) but I was mostly  suprised by the pathetic performance  by ray allen, it caught me completly off guard and it was seriously puke worthy.

The memory of that basket before half time where nobody boxed out Brad Miller is haunting me.

I wonder where Jon Barry is taking Derek Rose out to dinner tonight since he couldn't stop talking about how much he loved him.

Where was the sense of urgency today?  We looked like we were playing a pre-season game out there.

And why shouldn't Barry talk about Rose the way he did? The KID was the best player on tthe floor tonight. Thanks for reminding me about that and of  first half play. That summed up the effort and intensity of the Celtics today and they deserved to lose.
