After thinking about it some more:

"It's a bummer, man."

But, after thinking about it some more:

I believe!!!!!!!!!!

Co-sign.

After thinking about it,
I'm quite sure.
We will beat the Bulls.

If there's anyone left on this board who still considers this series a walkover, they really don't understand the game.

We're going to be in a major battle to avoid the summer starting right now.

Agreed.

this just confirms the idea that the team is screwed without KG... and gives the team more reason to have a "nobody believes in us" mentality.

they need to dump it inside for Perk more, he's the only one that can consistenly score one on one in the post, he scored good in the first half and had an awesome percentage, but they stopped giving it to him. Perks at a point in his career where he could go for 15+ consistently but he's just not getting the touches, without KG he NEEDS them.

The team played like it needed a smack in the face, and it got one.  Let's see how they respond the next game before declaring that the sky is falling -- it's not like we strolled through the playoffs unscathed last year, remember.  I think when the team watches the game film, they'll see the mistakes they were making.

Seems like a lot of people on this board underestimate the Bulls.  They beat us last month.   Their record after they got Salmons and Miller was better than ours without KG in the last couple months.  Rose is making a Wade-like playoff leap, they are young and athletic and stacked with depth.  Bill Simmons had guaranteed that the Bulls would beat the Magic and supposedly a lot of the people in the Celtic organization saw Chicago as a real 2nd round possibility.  Unfortunately we got stuck with them in round 1.  This isn't PHilly we are dealing with.  It's a tossup who wins this series unless KG comes back 100% miraculously.
I'm not underestimating the Bulls -- this Celtics team is not going to have any easy playoff rounds.  But I think there's a difference between respecting the Bulls and declaring that the season is over because of one game.  Even with Ray's putridity today, we would have won this game if we had made adjustments on defense and offense, and I think the team will see that when it watches the game film, and will hopefully come out playing not just with more effort, but also smarter the next game.

boston going nowhere fast...hate to say it...not being pessimistic but this is no surprise by the way they played the last month...finally caught them today...we will see all we know come game 2...if boston struggles loses or  wins barely then it tells me that the end is near...if they come out and blow them out then there might be some hope....

without KG boston has trouble defending A PG or player that gets into the lane...we saw it with chalmers, LBJ, felton, wade and now rose....

but the offense today was some of the worst I have seen since the tank year...stand around while pierce goes one on 5 or settle for long jumpers...

IN THE END....YOU ARE THE DEFENDING CHAMPS...AT HOME...YOU SHOULD NOT NEED A WAKE UP CALL....just pathetic today

I totaly agree. It doesnt matter to me if they winf this series, they should not need a wake up call w/o kg. they should have come out a played tough d and lock thier guys down. But they came out lazy and allowed the bulls to make a game of it. I do believe they couyld have turned thier d on this post season. Offense is harder imo to flip the switch on, but these guys have been playing in this seystem loing enough that they should be able to swarm to the ball even w/o kg. But they metaly dont hvae ti this year and are not hungry enough.
Still don't believe in Joe.

the days of easy wins are over...EVERY game will be a battle...the bigs inside got abused on the glass....both ends...

i want to see how the bulls react...will they be happy they won in boston? or will they come out even more confident...boston doesn't match up well with this team...philly would have been a lot easier

will not be the first time the Bulls swept the defending champions in the 1st round.

Anyone remember the 1 and done Miami Heat?   Shoot at least Shaq participated in that series.  :)

Oh come on... had to be mentioned...

3 plays:

1. the missed FT from pierce
2. the miller but back at the buzzer
3. ray allen missing a dunk

pretty much summed up the game

I'm not going to read 36 pages.  But I will say that Derrick Rose won't go for a career high next game and Ray Allen will not go for 4 points.  C's still in 6.

I remember a 42-point blowout.
Is that the one you're referring to?
 ;)
