If you're Memphis, wouldn't you have serious reservation about the ability to resign Bosh in 2010? Would Bosh be open to remaining in Memphis? I'm not too sure of that. At least with Griffin, they can get themselves a few years.
If he really wants to win, I think he would. Having moved to NW Mississippi, the only basketball I get ( aside from a subpar SEC season) is the Grizz. They have quite a bit of talent but they lack a number one scorer and someone to work the offense through. Both Gay and Mayo, at this time in their careers, would be fantastic number two options and would play well off of Bosh. Gasol, who is averaging 12 and 7 in his first year, could only benefit from having a skilled PF like Bosh compliment his game, instead of being paired in the front court with Hakim warrik or Darrell Arthur. Both Warrick and Arthur are fantastic bench big men, with Arthur having a chance to be a good starter one day, being forced to start.
They need a new coach to get them focused as a unit ( They're pregame is a joke), but they also need a verified star player who has carried a less talented team to the playoffs before to give them hope. If they pull off this trade, could you imagine an Eddie Jordan or a Avery Johnson NOT wanting this job?
