Mikki Moore is the worst defensive big man in the NBA (vent thread)

Seriously...  I've never seen a guy foul like Moore does.  Not only does he commit a lot of fouls, but he commits a lot of stupid fouls, at terrible times.  I can't remember a guy 7 feet tall that was this poor on the defensive end.  Give me Kandi or Blount any day.
 
(And yes, there's a slight amount of hyperbole here.  There's a lot to be frustrated about, though, and Moore's stupid foul turned out to be the difference in tonight's game.)

Mike Gorman had a quote which had me almost gagging myself with my underwear. He said something along the lines that no one was in foul trouble EXCEPT Mikki Moore. This was a game where the refs swallowed the whistles and yet, Mikki still manages to find himself in foul trouble. I think I'm going to lose myself in a hornbook...

It was a two point game, what about Baby's Hakeem impersonation? Or the lack of Ray Allen in the last two minutes ( personally I think paul would be more clutch if they ran more plays for Ray down the stretch)? Or Rondo's weird off balance lay up in the first 3 minutes? These were all difference makers.

Eh...  In a two point game, when you gift the other team three free throws out of sheer stupidity, it's fair to call it a difference maker.

I understand the hyperbole here, but seriously give me Kandi right now over Moore.  In all reality though, might it had paid off to wait for Smith/Gooden?  Mikki does seem to have a pretty sweet jumper and plays with a lot of energy, but that is about it.

Seriously, I would take back Kandi Man.

He is big, like Mikki.

He is strong, unlike Mikki.

He has a hook shot, unlike Mikki.

Has a high defensive IQ, unlike Mikki.

Is a decent shot blocker, unlike Mikki.

Doesn't have a jumphot, but we don't need that with Big Baby on the floor.  If we needed him for 5-8 minutes a game, I would seriously take him.

Nah, pass on the Birdman too. His shot blocking numbers are misleading, he's another player who makes a lot of poor choices on the defensive end.

I admit there was a point at mid-season when I thought Ainge had made a mistake passing over Chris - but he's since admitted to showing up out of shape to preseason workouts...

I can't stand Mikki, but I can't go and blame the 8-7 record on him.
