I didnt realize that Detriot held the 7th seed.  Thatd be hilarious if what Van Gundy said happened and Orlando fought the 2nd seed from us just to play Detriot and get eliminated by them AGAIN.

And then we can play Detroit in the 2nd round and eliminate them.  Again.

Sounds like a plan to me!

Im sick of the excuses here guys...KG did play..and the celtics played poorly for most of the game, they couldve easily won this game, the bottom line is they arent playing good enough

Did KG play when it really mattered at the end of the game...no. Not an excuse, a fact. I do agree the effort needs to be there the entire game.

i wonder if they play to win in atlanta or they just accept the fact they are most likely the 3 seed and start resting guys...

theyll play to win, this gives orlando a tie, not some overwhelming 4 game advantage.

KG plays boston wins...hell if boston showed up in the second (which is clearly becoming a problem quarter) they win....this is just another close loss like the magic the first time, the lakers, the spurs, clippers, etc.....get down ...battle back...lose in the end on a poor last play...

Plenty of time left to get healthy and get our cylinders firing again.  Obviously a loss like this is frustrating and I know there is a lot of concern about the #2 but I still like our chances.

It's only March 25th....plenty of regular season games left.  Remember, we're trying to get healthy and working out the kinks.

2nd being the let down quarter without KG and leon anywhere near it is not surprising to me. mikki more at PF for most of the 2nd along with marbury taking a giant step back from the small strides he's made over the last 3 games was soul crushing.

add in baby at the C because of perks fouls, and it was clobberin time.

I hear you, man.  But at this point, I am tired of being negative.

In reality, though, this team has come a long way down from where they were in December (pre-Lakers meeting on Christmas Day).  The Celtics looked unbeatable then.  But since then they have looked like a contender, but not a champion.  And this trend has only gotten worse as the season advances and as Cs players get injured.  I am hopeful that over the next half dozen games the Cs can really get back in a groove.  It would be helpful if Starbury would find his shot -- it would really help to have that offensive boost off the bench.

It wasnt necessarily a poor last play, it was just a bad situation, they had a foul to give with 3.8 seconds left.  If you foul at the right time, which Orlando did, you really couldnt ask for a better scenario if youre orlando.

Not to mention if they call a foul on Pierces drive everything would have been different.

whats left on the sked? orlando still has a few tough games: at miami, at atlanta cleveland and at houston....they need to lose two of those...

i do believe this was boston's last tough game until the cavs....but they need to bleed atlanta out friday

Orlando has 11 more games, the Celtics have 9 more games.  So, Orlando has a tougher schedule from here on out, but they also have more opportunities to move ahead of the Cs in the rankings.
