According to Danny on WEEI, tonight Powe will definitely NOT play, Big Baby probably will play, Rondo probably will play, and Ray is doubtful tonight (although a gametime decision).

So this could be a very interesting lineup.  I wouldn't be surprised if we see a good amount of Gabe Pruitt, in order to try to replace some of the shooting they are losing with Ray.

While I'm sure Cavs and Magic fans would howl bloody murder, is there a chance the Celtics could petition for an emergency roster addition?

Even if it's just to bring in a D-Leaguer on a 10-day contract. We need some help.

Glad Danny got that info out before before his phone died!

He talked a bit about Scals starting to workout for the first time too.  I'd be really surprised if Scals sees the court again this season though.
Yup

Maybe the emergency roster additions are right on their own bench.  Pruitt was the best player in the D-league last year, and Giddens and Walker were the best players in the D-league this year.  Maybe they ought to put those guys in for more than two seconds and see what happens.

I think it depends on the length of time of these injuries.  If they are going to be back up to 10 people or so on Friday, I don't think they would get the exemption, and I also don't know if they would really want it.

Having Davis back will be huge, and with KG coming back in the next few games, adding someone else, probably isn't the solution.

That is a major overstatement, but I think those guys are going to be used tonight with Allen out (or at least a couple of them).  The problem is, they don't help that much with the problem of having no big men.

The C's biggest problem isn't the number of injuries, it is the fact that they have had all of the injuries to players at the same position at the same time.

Pruitt, Giddens and Walker were average in D-League... and they suck in the NBA

So that leaves us with:

Rondo/Marbury/Pruitt
Eddie/Giddens
Pierce/Walker
Davis/Moore
Perk

It'll be nice to have Big Baby back.

I'm not sure I could watch Scal hit the court again this year without worrying about his noggin.

Average in the D league?? You didn't watch them and that's the only reasonable conclusion I could come up with.

Suck? That's overly harsh. Walker has been fine in the limited minutes he's played. Giddens hasn't had any court time at all, and Pruitt hasn't gotten steady minutes once this year.

I'm surprised by this comment, by my count Pruitt and esp Walker have NOT sucked, JR gets a pass till we see him play more but he's been ok in short stints, right?  Suck?  I just don't see that...
