Deal has been accepted.

Rondo Sends
devin Harris

Champ sends
Lamar Odom
1st rounder

Sweet. I left work after sending you this trade and didn't see any updates until I got here, then I saw you were trading Harris and immediately got [pee]ed...until I scrolled down and saw that he was coming my way.

Everything went better than expected.

Agreed, i think this worked out very well for both of us.  I had an abundance of pg's and you had an abundance of SF/PF's so we both got what we needed.

Sheesh, I leave the board for a few hours --- to teach the youth of america no less* --- and a major deal goes down, that devalues the avail. PG (Kirk Hinrich) I have to deal  :-\

Well i will be dropping Bayless to waivers, in order to complete the deal.  Im hoping nobody picks him up before i get an opportunity to get him back, I would be sorely dissapointed.

Gutsy call in a PG starved league.

Honestly, I think Bayless is as good as gone if you do.

So while I understood the earlier objections to pushing my trade through. I am kind of disappointed that you two just scared my trade partner out of our deal while I was offline. Was one of you really going to use a waiver claim on a career backup that offered 13th round value last season and plays in a five guard lineup? On the second day of the offseason?

If young backup point guards are in such high demand why did Eric Maynor get cut outright and not one out of twenty GMs showed any interest in him?

It wasn't meant to scare anybody.  As a 21 year old seeing limited minutes, Bayless averaged 8.5 points per game last year.  How many available guys -- let alone 21 year olds -- averaged that many points last year?

Flip Murray is one, but he's out of the league currently.  Anybody else available?  On the waiver wire, Bayless would have a ton of value, in my opinion.

There was no ill intent on my part. I was just commenting on a questionable announcement/move.

I agree about Bayless's value. In a full keeper league, any team, especially one in need of talent, should snatch him up in a second. Once he's free of Portland, he should flourish.

In hindsight, maybe I shouldn't have said anything and just put in the waiver claim.

More than T.J. Ford? Who would you drop for Bayless? You and I both found Flip on waivers last season. Because, whatever their per minute value, single digit scorers who shoot a bad percentage (41%) and contribute little else aren't worth all that much.

There was no ill intent on my part. I was just commenting on a questionable announcement/move.

I know there was no ill intent on anybody's part. But, same question, who would you drop?

Not for nothing, Jerryd has two more seasons in Portland, where he lacks the confidence of his coach - a coach who also has to find minutes for Wes Matthews and Rudy Fernandez. He offered 13th round per game value last year on a squad decimated by injury, and worse overall value. I don't see how his situation improves much this season. Yesterday, I read McMillan was telling him he has to look for his shot less if he wants to play more.

In hindsight, maybe I shouldn't have said anything and just put in the waiver claim.

That's right. But only because it would've been a Kevin Pritchard-esque move, further spoiling my plans, a la drafting Randy Foye in front of the Timberwolves.

can I get an official answer on James Johnson please. He is not listed in any pending transactions, so I am not sure why Lucky couldnt take him off of my team.  If I need to drop him, I will, but then that raises the question of the fact (at least in my head) that he will then be on waivers...different waiver priorities then it would have been at the start of the league. and further, I cant put a claim on him, but I would if I could, and someone with a later priority may grab him. is that fair?

Whatever the league decides is fine, but I would like to resolve the issue sooner rather then later.

  • I left Indiana. Because it was horrible.
Still looking to move a SF/PF for a PG/SG. Liked getting Devin Harris, but I could use another SG for the long haul. ANyone with interest in:

Wilson Chandler
Boris Diaw
or others

Let me know and shoot me a trade in the league.

Also, PS: I had 4th waiver priority...and got the 4th guy on my list. This is a smart/knowledgeable league. Impressive stuff.
CB Draft Bucks: Chris Paul, Dwight Howard, Tobias Harris, Zach LaVine, Aaron Afflalo, Jeff Green, Donatas Motiejunas, Jarrett Jack, Frank Kaminsky, Lance Stephenson, JaVale McGee, Shane Larkin, Nick Young

DKC Bucks. Also terrible.

YH, I was able to drop Johnson from your roster. I don't know why I was unable to yesterday.

I can reinstate Jason Williams to your roster, if you like, or we can leave the slot open, whichever you prefer.

I have also reverted waiver period back to one day.

All players that are currently on waivers will pass through waivers on Wednesday, October 5 (midnight tonight, Pacific time, I believe).

I will fill the spot...thanks.  Question, yahoo wont let me add him as a waiver add.  Is this fair that someone who has a later waiver number then me will get a shot at him and I wont?  let's say whoever has waiver number 16.  I would theoretically win the claim, but in this case I cant even make a claim.

This is one of the problems with Yahoo. You cannot submit a waiver claim for a player you have dropped. I don't see why this should be the case, but it is.
