Since there's a lot of talk about lotteries / anti-tanking measures in the Points League, I figured it was worth mentioning here.
I've got no problem with a lottery for the 12 non-playoff teams. I think it's a pretty solid idea, although I think it's more of a "for fun" thing, than a huge deterrent to tanking (because the lottery hasn't really stopped "real" teams from tanking for a better percentage). Anyway, each of the 12 owners could simply align their fortune to one of the NBA lottery teams, sort of like we do now with the bottom 5.
I don't think a solution tied to games played works quite as well in the H2H league as it does in the Points league, though. Certain weeks, people will strategically rest players (i.e., to limit turnovers, to sustain leads in FG% / FT%, etc.) and on weeks when a team has lost a lot of guys to injuries, it's a lot harder to get in a set number of games played.
