Yeah, I'm hoping that there will be an increased level of activity across the board this year. Way too many people checked out midseason.

If I have to play the heavy this season, and really come down on people for inactivity, so be it.

Not until September. Probably after Labor Day weekend.

Thanks. 'Tis the season.

And I realize I've been remiss in posting rosters. I'll get to that soon, probably shortly before or just after the NBA draft.

I wasn't around during the poll at the top of the page, but am in a 17-team dynasty league where you can only ever have the max # of players (13 in that league).

The draft (which commences next monday) is for all rookies and players in the league's FA pool --- so as people draft players they have to  drop players if they're at the 13 player limit. Last year someone dropped J. Bayless and he was "drafted" 12 picks later by another team. with the #29 pick rather than drafting a longshot in the NBA draft i"ll likely draft a guy like Ryan Gomes or AJ Price...

Its the first time i've been in a league like that but it certainly makes those late round picks more valuable. I guess it' pretty similar to what we're talking about doing (where the best team gets the top waiver priority (i.e. first pick in the non-existant 3rd round).

The draft is 24-hrs per pick since folks are all across the world -- and i think you'd have to  do it that way (or expand to 1/2 hour  or something) for a league as big as ours.

Just my 2 cents.

---------------

In other news, i'm always open to talking trades :)

GAINESVILLE CELTICS:
Guards
--------
Westbrook
Hinrich
Nate Robinson
Jason Richardson
Corey Brewer
CJ Miles
Larry Hughes

Forwards
-----------
Kirilenko
M.Miller
Sam Young
Ty Thomas
Kenyon Martin
James Singleton

Centers
---------
Al Jefferson
Turiaf
D. Arthur

#21 pick

Part of my logic for holding the draft so late is that it allows us to see how the NBA draft plays out, how rookies (and declared but undrafted players) perform, and also how the big summer trades and FA signings pan out. That's a lot of dust to settle.

As for a hard roster cap, I'm the type of mock-GM who likes to acquire as many assets as possible, and then worry about fitting them into a capped roster. I like having rights to 16 or 17 players, even only temporarily, and making the cut at the very last minute.

Here's your H2H roster anyway. I believe the draft breakdown is somewhere in this thread.

Quote
LaMarcus Aldridge
Joe Alexander
Tony Allen
Gilbert Arenas
Hilton Armstrong
Andris Biedrins
Maurice Evans
Michael Finley
Marc Gasol
Ryan Gomes
Josh Howard
Sean May
Antonio McDyess
Andre Miller
Rasho Nesterovic
Michael Redd

Opening shot came early. As I recall, Blake badly needed a starting center, so I can get on board with the deal.

P.S. The Draft Dodgers would like to trade back in to the first round. Get in touch.
