Man, the announcing team is on fire tonight. Petro's Average talk has been hilarious.

How does Denver's management not think about wholesale changes next season after this game? And they're in third place in the west!!

Funniest thing was how they said they wanted to get better defensively... and then got rid of Marcus Camby! One of the best defensive centers in the league! Incompetence.
Nene is a better defensive player at this point of his career. If he's in their line up they are a different team defensively. It was a luxury tax move but if Nene can stay healthy it will work out.

Nene may be better down the line, but I would have to disagree about him being a better defensive player now.
Camby plays crappy post defense. His value is almost entirely as a weak side and help defender. Even then he goes for the block too much. He is a really good rebounder still.

I agree with pretty much everything you said, so maybe you're right, TP. I think of him as a great shot blocker/shot changer so I look at his over-effort going for a block as part of his defense though, as opposed to someone like Dalembert who over-blocks very poorly and usually ends up goaltending.
He's still a good player to have. I just have been very impressed by Nene this year. I hope he is okay after banging his knee.

I missed the first half of the game, you guys said the denver announcers have been partial.  They must be getting grumpy behind the desk b/c theyve done nothing but irritate me since Ive started watching.  Ray Allen deserved to be run over??  This is only a blowout b/c of Denvers roadtrip?  Those comments about Pierce made me sick.  It's amazing how many sweeping assumptions were made about Pierce when he fell out of the public eye b/c of the teams lack of success.

  • Be the posts you wish to see in the world.
Did the one announcer just make a joke about the other one's high school daughter French-kissing someone?  When did this turn into Semi-Pro?

Congrats JR!

I would now officially like to give GreenThumb my thanks for ruining any shot Rondo had at a triple double.

Great win!  Loved seeing JR and Walker.  Can we find some minutes for them?

What a game. Rondo, Ray, and Pierce were all on. The Bench played with intelligence and energy, and the 11th and 12th man put in for some nice minutes.

Hard to get better, really.

Hope Scal is alright.
