30 point game? Maybe not.
32 points, though. . .

Can we officially label this road trip against Paul, Kidd, Nash, Wiiliams, Billups and Davis as Rajon Rondo's coming out party as a dominating star PG?

Anyone? Anyone?

Yes we can read my thread about his trip I think you'll like it haha.
"Take this down," said O'Neal. "My name is Shaquille O'Neal and Paul Pierce is the (expletive) truth. Quote me on that and don't take nothing out. I knew he could play, but I didn't know he could play like this. Paul Pierce is the truth."

Bank. He, right now, is a better fit for this team then Kidd, Nash, Billups, and Davis and it's not close. He is playing as well as Paul and Williams right now, no doubt about it. He may be the best rebounding point guard in the league... Anyone else come to mind?

He's not as good as CP3 and DWill on a consistent basis yet. But he's getting scary good now.

Remember how he used to be awful to mediocre on the road more often than not? Yeah he's pretty [dang] good most everywhere now.

Kidd is still the best, but Rondo has closed the gap.

Still Roy? I was thinking long and hard about that... I'll have to search for stats in the morning, because I really do think Rondo has him beat. Bedtime, good win, goodnight everybody

Biggest thing about Rondo is that his rebounding is so often ignored. He's averaging 5.3 this season, but he's just getting better at it. He had an incredible rebound today over 2 taller guys. He's averaging over 7 in February. 1.5 of those 5.3 are offensive, too.

And every single time someone says he doesn't have an outside shot I cringe. Have they been watching? He's hitting with some regularity now.

Hate to be that guy, I love Rajon, but he isn't in the same league as Paul or Williams yet, he's definitely past Nash and Kidd in my opinion, but Paul and Williams are on another level.

He and Chris Paul both average 5.3 rebounds per game, so I would say that they are the two best rebounding PG's in the NBA. Both Paul and Williams are ahead on assists by about 2, and they are way ahead on points. Not saying Rondo isn't a perfect fit for this team, the kid is amazing, but he's not an elite point guard yet.

I think a lot of the shooting comments also stem from the look of his jumpshot, it has a lot of fundamental flaws, and he doesn't always shoot it with confidence. However, I agree, his jumpshot is nowhere near as bad as the national media would have you believe.

Kidd still averages about a rebound more per game than Rondo (6.2 vs. 5.3) and averages more per minute, as well.  Rondo has outrebounded Kidd in February, but Kidd has had a clear edge the rest of the season.

There's no shame in being second best.

I agree that he's not as good...

But the assists need to be taken with a grain of salt, especially for Chris Paul. He gets assists for losing the ball, getting it back, and shooting a jumper.

I agree with the Tony Parker comparison right now for RR. He and Tony are scary similar (down to the number) except RR is a better rebounder.

Tony is a much better jump shooter though. I hate to say it too but Tony might be a better penetrating PG, that guy gets so many layups, Rondo and he are very similar though. I think Rondo is a better team PG whereas Tony is a better pure scorer.
