The following episode is a true event and shows the downside to being Roy Hobbs.

I saw Roy Hobbs today. He was running as fast as he could and couldn't stop to say hello. A short while after, a mob of beautiful, scantily clad women were running after him holding up signs saying "be mine" and "I want you" and other slogans which are too rude to mention here. Further down, there were other women fighting, one shouting "it's me he wants, stay (pulling hair) away (slapping face) from (kicking shins) Roy!"
