I doubt the knicks help starbury out at all, why not wait till march 2nd to cut him and twist that dagger a little deeper?
Right now, Marbury is willing to give back at least $1 million, and drop his union protest. Under the luxury tax, that means $2 million total, plus the attorney fees in defending the appeal. It's likely that after March 1, Marbury will just say that he wants all of his money.
So, the question becomes, do the Knicks hate Starbury so much as to throw away $2 million+ in this economy, especially when Dolan owes a fiduciary duty to his shareholders? I think not.
