Now whats the deal with suspension possibilities?

Because it was back in 2003 does nothing happen?

Yeah, there will be no suspensions.  Although steroids were illegal at the time, there was no punishment in place.  The deal with the union was that nobody who tested positive to that test would be punished.

Yeah there won't be a real punishment, these are just happy little thoughts to continue swirling around ARod's head while he's trying to bat in October...

"everyone knooooows, Alex. They ALL hate you."

Let him keep thinking about all that while he tries to improve on his stellar postseason resume. The best part is, for Rodriguez, this might as well be a punishment.

There will be no suspension, MLB knew all along.

Nobody will truly trust baseball for 10 years. The commish should be fired for helping run that giant into the ground. Where is the NFL doping scandal? They handled it in house during the 80's and 90's. Baseball is paying for its arrogance.

Right, that was my point. Steroids were an undeniable part of football, everyone was on them, no one was talking about them and no one was worried about being caught. the NFL was smart enough to handle it just as the public was really starting to catch on.

Brings us back to this pompous fraud that is George Mitchell and his self (and RedSox)-serving report.  We can all get our kicks as these "revelations"   ;D  trickle out over time and that no relevent member of Mitchell's team will ever be implicated.  Rodriguez probably isn't giving enough of his salary back in hush money.

At this point, I don't know why anybody would care.  All anybody has to do is look at the difference in the size of the players bodies...Not to mention their heads...to see the obvious.  The rabid "Clemens workout regimen" or any other regimen doesn't magically put 50 pounds of chisled muscle on a wiry body in a few months.  No workout regimen grows somebody 2-3 hat sizes.   We don't need some washed up hypocrite hack polititian to select who he wants to implicate.  We just need to use our own eyes...If anybody cares.

Like Kobe, we'd all have a completely different take on Rodriguez if they were wearing Boston uniforms.

The fans and MLB were sure as hell okay with all of this while baseballs were flying out of ballparks like a slow-pitch softball game.

I'll disagree with you there.  The percentage of players who use PEDs in the NFL is way, way higher than the number who use PEDs in MLB, I guarantee.  However, in the NFL, nobody cares.

I mean, the only NFL players I can remember be suspended for steroids are Merriman and Harrison (who never tested positive).  There may be others, but there is no doubt in my mind that more than a handful of NFL players have taken steroids pr (more likely) HGH over the past several seasons.

Well I mean isn't it all about perception? there is an air of "You can't trust any of them" in baseball now. You don't get that in football. I guess that was my major point. The NFL managed its perception and was conscious of the ramifications of prevelant steroid use and the public eye. The MLB seems to have failed miserably in that regard.

What a great way to start a Saturday morning.  A-Roid is right behind Kobe on my most hated list.
"Take this down," said O'Neal. "My name is Shaquille O'Neal and Paul Pierce is the (expletive) truth. Quote me on that and don't take nothing out. I knew he could play, but I didn't know he could play like this. Paul Pierce is the truth."

oh man what a shocker. I don't even care.
Grab a few boards, keep the TO's under 14, close out on shooters and we'll win.

NY fans on the radio are asking why no Red Sox players (like Ortiz and Manny) are being leaked.  Man are they still bitter about the 2004 3-0 choke.   You'd think 26 world championships would buy you a little security and composure.

I wouldn't be surprised to see a Red Sox player someday come to the surface, but none of the 2004 main guys really fit the mold

Manny hits all day, when would he have time to lift weights, never mind find someone to shoot him up

Ortiz?  in a weight room?

Pedro was thinner than Reggie Miller

like I said, maybe someone was on them, but none of them SEEM like they were
