How you figure?    They beat us earlier this year with him, right?

Seriously it's a huge blow to the Lakers.  Check out his last 5 games prior to the injury:

42 points, 15 rebounds, 3 blocks.     
23 points, 14 rebounds, 1 block
15 points, 11 rebounds 4 blocks
24 points, 14 rebounds, 6 blocks
27 points, 15 rebounds, 2 blocks

I don't think Bynum played particularly well in that game against us, certainly not as well as he's played against other teams.  Perk kept him in check when we played them early last season as well.  And didn't Perk leave the game early with a shoulder injury?  I think had Perk not been injured, the Celtics win that game.

Maybe the knee injury leaves it chronic - but that was an acute knee injury. Then again, maybe bad luck is genetic.

At anyrate - I'd trade Bynum for Perk straight up, don't see why we have to hate on Bynum to respect Perk's valuable game.
