Send the whole Cleveland and Orlando roster for all I care and play them all 48 minutes.

Ray can use the rest.  Hopefully Paul and Kevin sit out this worthless, meaningless, glorified streetball game.

My thoughts exactly, FSK.

Yes, agree. Actually, the biggest snub was Danny Granger.

Um, I believe Granger is on the list of reserves.

Granger is on the team.  Unless you meant he should start?

Lewis over Ray=Why?  Isn't Lewis essentially a taller, less efficient, three point shooter?

This will probably be Nelson's one and only trip to the allstar game.   The guy is on a hot streak.  He's not an allstar.

It's a real travesty that ray didn't make it. Last year they didn't initially schedule him in either, yet, he should have easily been the MVP of the game. These coaches don't know what they're doing. A 3 point shooting big man with no post moves is not what I need. Plus, why have Nelson AND Harris? They're both only barely all star caliber players anyways. Danny Granger on a loosing team made it but someone like Al Jefferson couldn't? Awful.

Become Legendary.

Orlando Magic with 3 was a surprise... oh well. Nelson and Lewis are having huge years.

Ray Allen or Mo Williams should have been in it. But I'll take 5 days rest for Ray. We want the gold ball again.

Did ray allen playing in the all-star last year stop him from getting the gold ball? I think the 5 days off is overrated
When you got it going, you got it going. I just keep my focus down the stretch. That's when I want the ball. I'm just not afraid to fail."-PaulPierce

I cannot understand the Al Jeff Snubbing for David West or even Shaq, what a joke.

Why Rashard Lewis is on the team over Ray Allen or even Mo Williams I will never know, not to mention the east having 3 pg's.

Kudos to Paul for making the team, but what a poor selection of reserves.

I think he makes the team because coaches were looking for another PF.  He got in because Bosh was added as a C.  They couldn't vote Ray or Williams as a PF.

East:
Jameer Nelson
Rashard Lewis
Paul Pierce
Joe Johnson
Chris Bosh
Devin Harris
Danny Granger

West:
Shaquille O’Neal
Pau Gasol
David West
Dirk Nowitzki
Tony Parker
Chauncey Billups
Brandon Roy

Our boy Ray Ray got snubbed, Thoughts?

Wow, the east is going to get rocked this year. I only see 3 true all-stars on that list: Pierce, Johnson, and Bosh. The rest are questionable. The only thing that the Western coaches messed up on was Al Jeff, but ti's still arguable.

The Nelson, and Harris picks really bother me. Jameer Nelson is a point who plays with 5 or 6 great shooters, and a superstar freak athlete center, but can't average more than 5 assists. As for Devin Harris I see it like this....

Devin Harris: shooting guard + plays pointguard + subpar team = inflated stats.

Seriously i know you guys will disagree, but Carter is still the better player. These two selections just prove how much more highly valued scoring is over other statistics. Rondo and Ray are most definitely going to use this as fuel for their fire.

Nelson belongs.  The difference between last year and this years Magic is the play of Nelson.

It's probably been said in this thread, but, GOOD!

More rest, no freak injuries trying to dunk the ball, rolled ankles, etc.

The bigger snub was Ray not getting ASG MVP last year after he single handedly carried that team in the 4th quarter.
God bless and good night!

Well, at least we're moving on from Grant Hill being selected every year.  ::)

When he was, he was a top 5 player in the NBA.

That really is a shame that Ray didn't get the recognition.  He's having such a better year than last year and he was arguably the MVP of the ASG last year.

It probably is good for him to get the rest though.  I'm not too upset.  Now he can take that vacation that he had to cancel when he got the call last year.
"Take this down," said O'Neal. "My name is Shaquille O'Neal and Paul Pierce is the (expletive) truth. Quote me on that and don't take nothing out. I knew he could play, but I didn't know he could play like this. Paul Pierce is the truth."
