Ray has been playing better than last year... but he didn't really deserve to be an all star last year either.  He got in because of an injury.

Really there are other guards outperforming him in the East.

But I don't really think Rashard Lewis belongs on the team.

Someone will get injured, Ray will come to the rescue and challenge for the MVP honors of the All-Star...

Anyways, Ray fully deserved to be included.

Ray Allen is 10 times the player Rashard Lewis is. I'm not bothered that Rondo didn't get in; he didn't have the stats (and by stats, I mean points), but Ray Allen certainly, without a doubt, deserved to be an all star.

Why?

50-40-90. Steve Nash averaged that in 05-06 and 06-07. What did he win? Well, he was an all star, and he also happened to win the MVP both years. Ray's got the same numbers, and he can't even get on the reserve roster for the All Star team.

Coaches must not be watching while Ray is eviscerating their teams from the outside in.
Grab a few boards, keep the TO's under 14, close out on shooters and we'll win.

Uhm? Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline..

Illgauskas (Deserves to at least be mentioned as an all-star, even if he doesn't play)
Bosh
Pierce/Granger
Harris/Johnson
Rondo (I really hope Iverson gets sick. God forbid there's a real PG in the all-star game.)

^^^ FIXED

Well, I knew Rondo wouldn't make it, but I'm shocked that Ray got left out.  That's a major snub, and to be honest, if we only got 2, he probably deserved it more than Pierce did.  I didn't think Lewis was even in the picture for a spot, too.  If Mo Williams had made it over Ray I'd've still been mad, but I could've at least understood a "2 from each East leader" mentality, but Lewis AND Nelson?  Ugh. At least he'll be rested, but it's baffling how little credit he's getting for our season so far.

And I still think Big Al gets Yao's spot and Shaq is moved into the starting lineup for the Phoenix fans.

The good news is, Ray will never say a word but you know he is the kind of guy that will take it personally and take it out on every coach in the east.  Rest up Ray Ray.

Just more evidence that the rest of league resents the Celtics. Rondo and Ray are the most efficient backcourt in the league I expected at least one of them to make it. Its hard to believe coaches don't think Rondo is an allstar he has to be one of their biggest headaches this season.

Send the whole Cleveland and Orlando roster for all I care and play them all 48 minutes.

Ray can use the rest.  Hopefully Paul and Kevin sit out this worthless, meaningless, glorified streetball game.

My thoughts exactly, FSK.

Yes, agree. Actually, the biggest snub was Danny Granger.

I cannot understand the Al Jeff Snubbing for David West or even Shaq, what a joke.

Why Rashard Lewis is on the team over Ray Allen or even Mo Williams I will never know, not to mention the east having 3 pg's.

Kudos to Paul for making the team, but what a poor selection of reserves.

If Shaq is moved. Bynum will probably get the nod over Big Al.  Him being the best since sliced bread and all  ::).

Orlando Magic with 3 was a surprise... oh well. Nelson and Lewis are having huge years.

Ray Allen or Mo Williams should have been in it. But I'll take 5 days rest for Ray. We want the gold ball again.
