when you give up on a play, whether it is in the first minute or last minute of the game, you relinquish your right to complain about the outcome of that play.

if the raptors cared about that last basket, they should have tried to defend it.  but they gave up, knowing that the game was over, and that no matter what happened, it didn't matter.

and if, by their own estimation, that last possession didn't matter, why they complaining about that last possession?

I agree. Toronto especially is so easily offended. Is it a wondert they never win anything? Tough and Toronto will never go together from what I have seen of them so far.

It was sweet a dunk, but unnecessary.  A single Raptor player was not over half court.  Was it worth crying about?  No, but what do you expect coming from the Dinosaurs?

Here's my feeling on all of this:

Dear Anthony Parker, Chris Bosh, and Jay Triano,

Enclosed are a pair of nuts. Please feel free to affix them to your person at anytime.
Grab a few boards, keep the TO's under 14, close out on shooters and we'll win.

When you come up with that 6-point play with 1 second to go let me know, sunshine.

We were down by 4 and ya, sunshine, I have seen 4 point plays.

  • About five seconds after 17 O'clock!!
Weren't the Raptors crying about a similar situation a few years back when Gerald Green had late highlight reel dunks at the end of a couple of games? I remember Toronto then muttering about "long memories" and "rookie plays" and what not.......have they managed to even beat us since back then???

Was it a bush play, probably. Does it matter, NO.

Actually, Butterbean is right...it was a 6 point game with under 2 seconds to play and Triano called a timeout.

Rondo really could have just run the clock out.

The game WAS over.

Maybe he just wanted another assist to pad his stats?

It's like Tommy always says: you always reward your big guys when they run the floor...

Why is it ok to call a time out then? He could not have come up with a 6 point play. Don't see the Celtics upset about that you know why because neither was that big of a deal. If Toronto did not want Celtics to score they had every right to defend the play, they did not. How about being upset with their own play instead of such trivial issues. Part of the reason imo Toronto doesn't accomplish much every year.

I see many people leave the games early.  I always stay to the very end.

The only reason the basket was so easy was because the Raptors were still trying to get the ball or foul or do something. We'll stop playing. But you have to stop first.
