This was an embarrassing loss for the Celtics. Terrible substitution patterns by Doc, no hustle from the starters, and bad bench play. It looked like Paul Pierce was the only Celtic who wanted to win. The Celtics clearly deserved to lose this game.

Ray had a terrible night shooting down the stretch, especially in the second half.  Seemed like the whole team, especially defensely, was very lazy tonight.

I remember Felger at the beginning of the season said "we shouldn't be discouraged if they don't win nearly as many games as last year because now this Celtic team understands it's all about the playoffs, they don't need to put forth 100% hustle every single night like last year"

It's tough because after a 19 game win streak we're gonna expect alot now...but maybe what Felger said is starting to come true in their minds.

Didn't it feel like this wouldn't have even been hard to win? Just a little effort would have done it, and just a little bit of decent play off the bench.
Grab a few boards, keep the TO's under 14, close out on shooters and we'll win.

I agree with you on Doc's subs..Sometimes I was confused as to why certain players were left on the floor

TA should be ashamed of himself tonight. Glen showed good things. RR showed aggressive shooting but was a nonfactor. Leon played pretty good had alot of big rebounds (the only one that did). Scal stepped up very well. The big 3 did ok offensively but the starters didn't even do the job defensively, esspecially with KG in foul trouble.

bad substitution by doc? im pretty sure your substitutions get ALL screwed up with one of your main players has to come out early becuase of foolish fouls. this is on the team, not on doc.

its also not on the bench, it could be on TA, but not on the bench. BBD played good for KG, Leon outplayed Perk. and scal did his job in his minutes for KG's injury.

well...I can't figure this Boston team out. they had a real chance to put distance between the rest of the east...but they came out flat with no energy. this slump is something we didn't see last year. they have lost their mojo.

Memo to ainge: GET SOME SCORING PUNCH OFF THE BENCH NOW. MEMO TO DOC. CUT TONY ALLEN'S MINUTES.

TA is the anti James Posey. Every thing that James adds, he subtracts.

I don't care how bad Rondo was playing Doc shouldn't have sat him for a nearly a full quarter starting in the third and lasting untill about 2:30 left in the fourth.  You can't have Eddie out there that long.

This game was pathetic, was not the benches fault, fault lays on on the starters for this one. Garnett is having a hard time with Lee? I'm sorry Lee is not starting material and should have been cake for Garnett. Powe played around 3-4 minutes in the 4th quarter. 5 points, a steal, and rebounds off/def when we needed them. Doc pulls Leon out, and leaves Scalabrine in. This is like tying my shoes together on a 100m sprint. I do not understand why people always "compliment" this guy. The man can't shoot, dribble, rebound, run, he's a complete liability, for gods sake the man when he runs looks like he has crap in his pants ( apologies to the mods if thats a cruel line and needs to be edited but it's the truth).
True Celtic = Leon Powe

Bring back the show!!!!

any lead on this knicks team should be substantial

this is a team that runs and has ALOT of scorers. those are the teams that NO lead is safe.

TP.  This team is not as bad as people are making them out to be, still should have been an easy victory for us if we execute on the defense end, but we didnt.

New York is one of the best offensive teams in the league, so even on a good defense theyre still capable of putting up numbers.  Theyre one of the worst defensive teams in the league though, I'm really suprised how bad we played on offense against them.

This was a very winnable game down the stretch.

Tommy point for Pierce and Powe, everyone else should take a look in the mirror
