where has KG's game gone? i don't understand playing eddie and tony together for so long in the third/fourth...stupid

KG is injured. TA shouldn't get on the floor ever again.
Grab a few boards, keep the TO's under 14, close out on shooters and we'll win.

This was an embarrassing loss for the Celtics. Terrible substitution patterns by Doc, no hustle from the starters, and bad bench play. It looked like Paul Pierce was the only Celtic who wanted to win. The Celtics clearly deserved to lose this game.
I agree with you on Doc's subs..Sometimes I was confused as to why certain players were left on the floor

cough TA cough

TA is the anti James Posey. Every thing that James adds, he subtracts.

Exactly!

haha

Is it time to call up Walker or Giddens and see if they can score off the bench?

If KG is injured then he shouldnt be on the floor either, he was terrible tonight, stop trying to make excuses for him, he was worse than powe and BBD tonight

Tommy point for Pierce and Powe, everyone else should take a look in the mirror

TP T.O.M.S it's not just the bench who are the problem now the entire team is in a slump. PP and Powe, and Ray as well, have been putting effort in and nobody else is stepping up to help them on the road. I can't tell if this is them playing down to the competition or this team is in a momentary slump.
True Celtic = Leon Powe

Bring back the show!!!!

I'm being serious when I say the following:

It's a shame to waste that that kind of effort from Scalabrine.  The guy came and shut down a red hot Harrington with pure effort.  Meanwhile the rest of the team seemed to standing in cement.

I think they thought they were playing the Isiah Knicks.
Yup

if NY doesn't want David Lee i'll take him. ANY day of the week.

According to this Portland wants him.

Maybe he shouldn't be on the floor, but he clearly was injured so using that as an explanation for his poor play isn't a stupid thing. When your hurt you don't play as well, so that's why his game was off.

He was still better than BBD.

hate to say it but this team doesn't look like they can just turn it on and off when they want to. 2 really bad games in the last week in the knicks and the warriors...and they blew a big lead vs portland. this team is not mentally tough enough right now. when they don't defend they don't win. also they just lived and died by the 3 tonight which killed them tonight...

tonight was a perfect example of why marbury could help this team. play him and house together and you can sit tony allen. like him or not...marbury would get some points for this team

Rondo was ineffective and New York was using his defender to help out on everyone else.....and it was working.  Putting Eddie in the game to keep them honest isnt a stupid decision, though I wouldnt have left Rondo out as long as he did.  It worked against the Lakers last year, Eddies shot just wasnt falling tonight.

TA was just awful.

for those who thinks this loss is on the bench, lets look at efficiancy.

Rondo -24
RAllen -20
Pierce -14
KG -22
Perk -20
Powe +7
BBD +6
TA +8
House +4
Scal +6
Pruitt +2

i know that these stats don't show you everything from the game, but when was the last time ALL the starter were minus, and ALL the bench was plus?

Wilson Chandler looked all-world against us again.

David Lee soaring thru the lane for thunderous two-handed jams.

Nate Robinson stealing away rebounds from our bigs.

Brian Scalabrine playing the entire forth quarter....

Just to name a few things that were wrong with this game.

If he is really injured he would still try to play. Alot of players like to try to play through injuries. Limping isn't a sign of health.

TP! I was very proud of Scal tonight. What a waste. He shut down a premier scorer, but no one else did anything on D, i.e. the play where Scal shut Harrington down for the 3rd straight trip, and tipped his shot, only to have no one in green go for the ball, allowing David Lee to pick up the ball and dunk it. Huge waste and a play that really typifies tonight's game.
