It's sad how not 1 person saw how Oden can't hit a foul shot if his life depended on it. Hack a oden and u would have been good down tht minute stretch. They instead foul rod, blake, fernandez.

It's hard to foul Oden when he's on the bench...
If he can get an assist when he's on the "bench" in the second quarter, why the hell can't we foul him and make him shoot free throws?

Any Hack-an-X strategy is not a good idea early in the game, especially when you don't have good bench players (see previous 10 pages of this post) and you risk fouling your starters out of the game.
God bless and good night!

This team, as constituted right now, is going nowhere this year. Lose to the Warriors who played without three starters, lose to the Blazers, who play without one of the best players in the league, and score under 90 points 3 out of four games. This bench is now officially awful. When will Danny wake up and realize this fact?

You are awfully naive if you think Ainge doesn't know this Vinnie.

But shouldn't he have known this when the season started? The bench right now is about as bad as it can get. Big Baby looks like he doesn't belong in the league and Tony Allen is rapidly regressing. Eddie House has been garbage and there is absolutely no leadersip off the bench.

Its unfathomable how terrible this bench is. It disgusts me. I was literally gagging during Glen "minus 30 plus/minus ratio" Davis' HORRIBLE stint of play. BACK TO BACK AND ONES????? ARE YOU KIDDING ME DOC GET THAT SCRUB OUT OF THE GAME.
Grab a few boards, keep the TO's under 14, close out on shooters and we'll win.

This is one of those games you must forget.
You can't blame Eddie for nothing, it was a bit early, but I think that was the play Doc made.

Why would Doc draw up a contested 26 footer for a 5'10 being guarded by a 7 footer? Makes no sense to me.

oh really? odd that doc chewed eddie out for 20 seconds during the timeout then.

Thats not how i would treat my player if they followed the play.

Could of sworn I saw him out their the last minute in. Even if he wasn't and my eyes were bad, it should have been used before the 1 minute mark came would have helped.

so what you will but the laker loss mentally zapped this team...could have gained a game on cleveland by once again ****ed away a big lead....

Then how did they win by 45 in Sac? The Celtics have played more games then any other team. I think they are tired, I don't think it has alot to do with what the Lakers did. This team has won a championship I don't think that they are going to lose it because of one loss to the Lakers.

sacramento is AWFUL....and them being tired proves they need to make some moves to upgrade the bench. the bench right now will not get them out of the East

Honestly, the bench they have right now might not get them to the conference finals.

I agree about the bench. Hopefully this trip finally proves that to Ainge.

Well this roadtrip as a whole showed me 3 things...

Gabe Pruitt needs more minutes...he needs to be in this rotation, no more of a garbage time player.

This bench needs a boost in the middle.  Glen Davis played terrible tonight, and Leon was a non-factor.  I think until they sign more of a veteran bigman, they need to give O'Bryant more of an opportunity.

Finally, it better not become a usual thing now where we have trouble with teams missing their best player.  We should've been 3 and 1 on this trip with the lone loss being to the Lakers.  If we could hold leads this roadtrip then I'd say we should be 4 and 0.  The worst losses are losing to teams missing their best players...which is why the Golden State loss is still killing me.

Dear Portland,

Not only are you classless retards who drop confetti after a regular season game, but your win was a charade.

Without being handed an extra point by the a LEAGUE RECOGNIZED officiating error, Eddie House would have never gotten that ball. He wouldn't have had a chance to suck, and the ball would have gone to Paul Pierce, who was drawing fouls at will. He would have tied the game, as he was stellar and clutch from the line all game, and we would have won in overtime.

Nice confetti, you ridiculous excuse for a basketball team.

we actually would have been ahead at that point, as i stated earlier. that play was a three point swing (if they dont get the two, we still get the tech)

That would have changed the entire strategy for both teams for the last 50 seconds.

be an interesting spin doctoring by stern tomorrow.

Yeah, I'm sure Danny realizes this.  The questions are: 1) why didn't he know this in the off-season, and 2) what is he going to do about it?

Good questions.
