Dear Portland,

Not only are you classless retards who drop confetti after a regular season game, but your win was a charade.

Without being handed an extra point by the a LEAGUE RECOGNIZED officiating error, Eddie House would have never gotten that ball. He wouldn't have had a chance to suck, and the ball would have gone to Paul Pierce, who was drawing fouls at will. He would have tied the game, as he was stellar and clutch from the line all game, and we would have won in overtime.

Nice confetti, you ridiculous excuse for a basketball team.

we actually would have been ahead at that point, as i stated earlier. that play was a three point swing (if they dont get the two, we still get the tech)

That would have changed the entire strategy for both teams for the last 50 seconds.

be an interesting spin doctoring by stern tomorrow.

Jeez Crownsy why you gotta tell me that? I'm LIVID already.
Grab a few boards, keep the TO's under 14, close out on shooters and we'll win.

HOLY **** THE HEADLINE ON NBA.COM IS "Celtics wilt away at Rose Garden" r u effing kidding me???

How about a headline reading 'NBA refs screw up the game' as at least part of the headline. Of course it being NBA.com they would not do that.

Enough with the slurs, profanity and masked profanity.  None of the above are permitted here.  Stop it, now.

It's sad how not 1 person saw how Oden can't hit a foul shot if his life depended on it. Hack a oden and u would have been good down tht minute stretch. They instead foul rod, blake, fernandez.

It's hard to foul Oden when he's on the bench...
If he can get an assist when he's on the "bench" in the second quarter, why the hell can't we foul him and make him shoot free throws?

Any Hack-an-X strategy is not a good idea early in the game, especially when you don't have good bench players (see previous 10 pages of this post) and you risk fouling your starters out of the game.
You missed the tongue in cheek nature of my reply.

Sadly, I think you are right. After this horrific trip, I can see both Cleveland and Orlando being ranked above them. Come on Danny, time to arise from your sleep and make some moves before all of the other contenders do.

i'm sorry, but this is a ridiculous statement. this is the reason why i usually stop posting on celticsblog after losses, its like the whole board needs to be put on suicide watch. TA is a defensive stopper who can get to the hole and create his own shot, Eddie is a sharp shooter (but not a clutch one), BBD is going to be a good scorer once he can add that jumper to his game along with his toughness on the offensive glass.

and if powe is the one guy on this bench you can count on? then tonight he failed you:

Leon Powe 8+ minutes, 0 pts, 0 rbs, 0 asts, 2 pfs.

and im not saying that leon lost this game, the TEAM lost this game. there shouldn't have been a 3 pointer to tie the game at the end. we were out rebounded 44 to 29, and every time they got a second opportunity they hit it.

maybe them being considered afterthoughts in the East will motivate them. IF it comes down to boston and the cavs in the east....the C's need home court...cleveland plays at another level at home and they struggle-like tonight on the road. i guess people sleeping on boston might be good...

You really do not think this team can win another championship with this bench, do you? There is ZERO leadership when the bench is in there. And, there is no go to scorer. Plus, as stated plenty of times already, if the other team is big, Davis and Powe are often overmatched.

well if the bench isn't the major problem then there is some deeper concern...couple powe with a true 5 off the bench and he becomes better...my point is the bench they have now is not good enough to get out of the east. this has shown up in wins (garnett ripping them in a win) and in most of the losses...but if they are expecting allen, Scal, baby and POB to carry the heavy lifting then there are issues. that is a fact

If they are sleeping on the Celtics they need theiur heads examined because one week of basketball does not a season make.

no one week doesn't make a season...but boston is judged to a higher standard by most people....the lakers went from suicide watch after losing to orlando and miami to now being considered the best team in the league by many....the cavs game next week could be the big road win they need to send a message...
