I think you guys are overrating the lack of leader in the second unit thing. Our bench struggled last year too, in these types of units, and we had our mighty bench leader in Posey.
It's not that we lack a leader, we simply lack a go to guy that can create for himself, and have a decent jumpshot. Tony is the closest we have in that department... he's not there yet. Going small with Pruitt, or simply have Rondo with TA and House in there should make the bench unit more consistent. The way our bench is setup, it's not at its best in a halfcourt setup... we need people that can push the ball.
The other thing is that our bigs need to be more aware of their situation. Often they catch the ball in the low post and try to force the issue. This was great early in the year with Powe because he was being constanly bailed out by fouls... but he's not getting fouled as often now. He needs to be more aware of the situation, and if anything make moves to try to score instead of looking for fouls he might not get. Though I think Powe is also doing better in this.
Same goes to Tony when he penetrates, he needs to stop looking for the foul call (which he hasn't been getting even when hammered), and simply look to score or make the pass. He has been playing better with his head up, and he has done a fairly good job setting up people who are not converting... other than that, he needs to be more accurate with his passing. He often reads the play correctly, but fails to execute it.
Baby, well he's practicing his midrange jumper which isn't falling. And I think he's the person that gets the most BS foul calls in the league.
