And the quote about "they won't win sh*t" was a response to a reporter who asked what Antoine thought of the Celtics if they had Oden.  His response was "if they don't have veterans, they won't win sh*t.  Period."

Toine can help us by spreading the floor? Thats a good one; Once he goes 0-10 from 3 point land, the defenders can leave him alone and pack it down, spreading their defense among the other 4 players. He is better than nothing? I think 0 for O is better than 0 for 10; But then I  run the risk of being considered a "Toine hater".
Celtic Bloggers have a simple rule. "The proof is in the pudding". A new player has to deliver before he is loved; he dont deliver, he is not loved. Unloved players have learned to deliver in due course and then are then loved. Players that used to deliver and stopped delivering, become unloved. I dont like the word hate so I dont use it here. Im sure glad the poster that asked why Rondo was hated finally backtracked and apologyzed. That was an unpossible accusation. Rondo took his time being an offensive threat, but slowly but surely has found his way of helping his team a lot more; like Chris Paul, Derron and Nash help their teams by being an offensive threat. Now that Rondo has finally  "got it", Im sure he is loved much more in here now. Elementary, Dr. Watson. Remember the love and the unloveness for Blount? He earned both feelings from almost everybody here, and Im being conservative.

Well our bench right now isn't so hot.

IF Walker is in good shape he can still help the team because he can still rebound and post up.

Besides KG and to some extent Pierce we have no reliable players who can post up.

I think Toine can offer more to this team as it is currently constituted than a waste of space (Mikki Moore).

If we wanted length or "just another body" we should have just kept PoB.

Antoine's stats at the end of his last days are still better than Scals....Lets see how Scal shows up against Denver tonight..watch it all you Scal lovers.....they will eat him up....! They would HAVE to cover Antoine....if it was down to walker or Scal, I will take walker..!!!

Martin 5 pts 4 rebounds 1 steal 1 block -13 in TWENTY SEVEN MINUTES.

I wouldn't trade a concussed Scal for a currently healthy Antoine Walker. Walker is that oput of shape and out of touch with his NBA game. Scal; is no world beater but he is a good defender and hits the outside shot while rarely making mistakes. Smart, tough, defensive minded role players that can hit the outside shot can have a spot on my bench any day. Fat, out of shape, poor defending, poor shooting, poor decision making PFs who think they are PGS and can't and won't play underneath, egomaniacs, I could do without, thank you.

Antoine makes more than a few. Also his threes usually were not wide open ones, which is the only type of 3 that Scal takes.
