So, it's been 15 years since The Spaghetti Incident and the most expensive album ever made has been 9 years in the making, "Chinese Democracy" by Guns n' Roses is out. This could well be the most anticipated album of all time and I'm excited to listen to it. I really hope it lives up to expectations.

Any other Guns n' Roses fans on CB?

I was in a concert by Guns in Madrid a couple of years ago. I still can't believe this album is coming out, how long since they said they would release it?

I will have to buy it cause...man, it's so unreal!! :)

I've been waiting for a long time for it.  I've listened to the first single several times and it sounds 100x better than anything velvet revolver has done- and I'm talking about the music as well as the vocals.

I've heard the whole thing and it lives up to the expectations, awesome album! It's a variety of styles, amazing guitar solos and songwriting, an epic album. I have to admit, as a gnr fan waiting a long time for it, I can't believe it actually came out, and I was worried that it would suck, but it's wonderful.

I wouldn't put GNR on Laker level for me, but not a fan either.

I'll have on stock at the shop though ;)
Yup

I've heard a couple tracks and I will agree that I think this album is going to be pretty good.

Don't even hint at that. ;D

Back on the album front, halfway through and so far so good.

Just listened. I'm very happy with it, great album and it's refreshing to see one of the greatest bands (albeit just Axl Rose) produce new material as good as their old.

Wow. I thought Chinese Democracy was just a ruse perpetrated by Axl to keep the music industry interested in GnR for the past decade. I never expected the album would ever see the light of day.

CM, how did/do you feel about The Spaghetti Incident? That album was in heavy rotation in my CD player for a while.

The Spaghetti Incident I wasn't really a fan of. It took a lot to top Appetite for Destruction and then Use Your Illusion I/II for me and that album never did it.
