Rodney Stuckey + Daequan Cook for Ray Allen?!

Apparently, I overpaid for Bosh.

Don't you feel silly, Hobbs?

I'm going to see if WDLeehi will agree to trade the borderline decrepit Dirk Nowitzki for young up-and-comers Jason Maxiell and Thabo Sefalosha. I'll include Arron Afflalo only if he agrees to send back a draft pick.

Need to find a replacement manager for a team in our H2H league.

If you're interested, PM me.

Decent roster for a keeper league:

Arenas
Redd
Horford
Josh Howard
Dunleavy
Amir Johnson
Gomes
Alston, etc., etc.

I'd do it if I wasn't in a handful already.

Then again, the other CB one we have I might as well quit. Actually wait, I just got LeBron. Game on!

Well, turns out I have no means of booting an absentee owner from the league once the draft starts.

So, we're stuck with a dead team in our league. [sighs]

We decided that the bottom five teams are eligible for the #1 pick in some sort of a lottery, right?

My proposal, then, would be to exclude absentee owners from that, and make them eligible for no higher than the #6 pick.  The top five *active* owners are eligible to draft #1, in other words.

Ha-ha.

I did offer both he and Carter in a package deal for Bosh and some other young bucks.

This is likely the only time, I'll be able to say this so, "First Place. First Place. First Place".  ;D ;D

For some reason, I now want to bash both fists on my head.

Hey! I didn't know people were talking about me over here. All I'll add is that at least Stuckey has a puncher's chance to out produce Ray over the next two seasons. Twenty-four year old Bosh will be outplaying Beasley and Lee for the bulk of their careers.

That said, I thought for posterity's sake - and to kick up some dust - we ought to revisit the two most controversial trades from Year 1.

Quote
Blake's 6th (Chris Wilcox), 8th (Kyle Korver) and 9th (Earl Boykins) round picks for Edgar's '08 1st round pick (D.J. Augustin)

Ha! Karma or CROTORS' poor scouting at work here, but with Korver playing a limited role in Utah and Boykins career over, Blake falls ass-backwards into success, seemingly comes out ahead on this one.

Though both managers left a lot of young talent on the board.

Quote
Blake's 7th (Troy Murphy), 10th (Brendan Haywood) 12th (Renaldo Balkman) and 14th (POB!) for
Y'all Hate's 14th (Blake skipped?) and 16th (Blake skipped?) round picks and his '08 1st round pick (Kosta Koufos).

Though Blake parlayed that pick (Koufos) and his 2nd round pick (Mario Chalmers) into Robin Lopez and DeAndre Jordan.

We all know how this worked out. Y'all Hate rode this trade and sound picks throughout to a second place finish. What's more, he's still coming out soundly ahead this season, even considering Haywood's injury, and I, for one, don't foresee Lopez or Koufos eclipsing Murphy in the near future.

Hey Commish, I found this in Yahoo's fantasy forums, though dated last year:

Send an e-mail to:

sports-fantasy-basketball@cc.yahoo-inc.com

Make sure to include the League ID #, the former manager's team name and Yahoo ID, and the new manager's Yahoo ID and e-mail.

AllAboutTheGreen's team has certainly been hit hardest of any by injuries - Arenas, Dunleavy, Redd, Josh Howard, now T.A., plus McDyess MIA while waiting to re-sign with Detroit. But the squad has a lot of talent, and an active manager could turn it around quickly.

Maybe individually, but collectively?  I doubt it.

Average fantasy points per game:

Bosh: 50.7

Beasley: 25.3
Lee: 34.3

That's a pretty fair deal, especially when Beasley is going to get quite a bit better.

Is that how we're judging trades? In that case what were you complaining about?  ;)

Ray Allen: 30.9

Rodney Stuckey: 20.1
Daequan Cook: 16.2

And, Stuckey's play is already improving.

EDIT: Maybe individually...?!?

Did you watch Beasley in college?  He's certainly capable of putting up some stats.  It won't shock me at all if he has more fantasy value than Bosh in two years.

I don't think I fell ass backwards into anything.  I think people undervalued the draft picks from this year.  We all knew this was going to be a deep draft and I didn't think the picks that I traded were worth as much as the picks that I received in this draft.  It is pretty obvious that I'm not looking for the near future, so Yall Hate and I both came out pretty good in that trade.
