  • I left Indiana. Because it was horrible.
So Roy's team would get 1st pick in the draft and 1st shot at the waiver wire?
CB Draft Bucks: Chris Paul, Dwight Howard, Tobias Harris, Zach LaVine, Aaron Afflalo, Jeff Green, Donatas Motiejunas, Jarrett Jack, Frank Kaminsky, Lance Stephenson, JaVale McGee, Shane Larkin, Nick Young

DKC Bucks. Also terrible.

IMO, We should just carry over last year's ending waiver priority since it's available.

It's a little self serving since I am listed as 4th, but I believe it's more fair since we would just be continuing where we left off.

That's up for debate.

Actually, I believe the default for Yahoo! is to assign waiver wire priority in inverse order of draft order. So Hobbs, having the #1 pick, would get the worst waiver priority under this setting.

However, since we're only using the Yahoo! draft function to upload rosters, I can arrange this any way we want. Should the worst team from last year get the #1 pick and #1 waiver priority? Or should the best team from last year have the #1 waiver priority?

EDIT: I actually kind of like mkogav's suggestion. Thoughts?

I say we do it in inverse of draft order, but i could be biased since I'm 3rd from the bottom in the draft.

i knew i should've given in and tanked last year ;)

I say reverse draft order.

If not that, then last years, although I really think it should be reverse draft order.

I say we drop the waiver priority.  There isn't one in the real NBA (that I know of).  I think waiver priority is kind of goofy.  I think that whoever is first to the punch should win.

I'd like to keep it in place just for the first day when all unclaimed players become available. There may actually be some talent out there amongst the pool of available free agents, and rather than having it be a free-for-all, I'd like to have some degree of order.

Alright commissioner Stern.  J/K.  You are seriously doing a great job with this league.  Great organizational skills.  TPs coming your way.

So, when can we start making trades?

Right now. Trading season is open.

Future draft picks are not kosher, but picks for this coming draft can be included.

In that case, I am open for all trade offers.  This team I have is not my team.  I have no problem taking a jackhammer to it.

An update:

We have unofficially started the draft. Roy has made his selections, and I have the selections from the #2 teams from each league. I have PMed Jayhovaone for his selection for each league.

Tomorrow (Friday), I will ask Roy to unlock the draft threads, so that people can post their selections without having to go through me.

The draft must be completed by Wednesday of next week, or else we run the risk of delays to the start of our season. There are 40 selections to be made in each league, so people need to stay on top of things. If need be, I will post a schedule and implement a hard deadline for everyone's pick.

My impression has been that we are only drafting rookies...is that correct?
