sometimes you have to bite your lip, exhale and move on.  So, I have.

Today, it is now 163 years since the
Donner Party left Springfield, Illinois
to go to California. Bless their souls.

For those interested:

I was in Reno a few years back and one day I rented a car to drive up to Donner Pass to have lunch just because of the irony of the whole thing.

three things:

#1.  My son came in while I was shaving this morning and asked if he and I could make a tent in the guest room this weekend and camp out in it - I said sure and he looked up at me and said "I love you Dad, it's going to be so much fun!" and off he went.

#2.
My girlfriend was going to college in Boston and lived on St. Botolph Street in Back Bay. I was born in 1946. Good girlfriend: we've been married almost 28 years. When I joined CelticBlog I was looking for a name with a Boston connection.
Maybe my favorite post ever.....if you get a change, give botolph46 a TP.

#3.  My Dad once said, in almost every case it's better to walk away than it is to fight.  My stubborn side found this logic flawed, but as I get older I believe it to be true.

Thank you, I wish you all well.
Peace & GO CELTS.

the fun stuff my boy will do.

I've just looked through every forum on this site and only found a few threads I wanted to reply to, none of them related to basketball.

PS. I'm going to retire in honour of Paul Pierce and Brian Scalabrine.

I'm actually thinking of retiring
at 3008, because my son was born
on August 30 last year. In Denmark
we write the date before the month.

What do you (and others) think?
Should I?

I think it's a nice gesture to your son. If you're serious about it, do it. The come back with "ACF" and start afresh.

I just might do it. We'll see how
I feel when I'm nearing the 3K mark.

Almost there now. I'd say you've got a couple of weeks thinking time.

Is it against the rules if I report someone to a moderator just for giggles?

I don't know but I like
the new sig. Plus, I've
tried to keep you in the
race, IYKWIM  ;)

Haha. Yeah I've seen, I was 13 behind earlier I think. Ah what the hell, 7 behind now ;)

Yeah I like the new sig. It's commemorative of last year again, the left being the United fans in the semi final against Barcelona and the right being KG alone coming to terms with his first championship; inspirational images. It's also representative of this year though, with both teams going through a tumultuous period we still need to keep the belief that we are the best and we can still win it all.

Yeah, that's the spirit.

Sad news. We lost a good guy today.

Shame on those responsible.

I second that. Emphatically.
