50 states in the US, how many have you been to?

I was looking at a map of the US last night with my son showing him the different places I have been and when it was all said and done, I realized that I've been to 40 of the 50 states in the US.

Most favorite, Alaska
Least favorite, Texas

Still need to hit the upper mid western states and Hawaii

31.  I haven't visited very much of the South at all (outside of Virginia and Florida), but I've hit most of the Northern states.

i will count states that i drove through because i knew i was there states that i flew over i didnt exactly know where i was when i was doing it so the 6 new england states Ny, Nj , PA, Ohio west virginia florida indiana missouri, deleware, maryland illinois. So i guess i have been to 17 states

I did a roadtrip this summer and was able to add West Virginia and South Carolina to my list.

All of them except North Dakota, Alaska, and Hawaii

I've been to 45.  Only missed Hawaii and Alaska, and Montana, North Dakota, and South Dakota in the continental U.S. (and one of these summers I'll get up there).

Favorites:  Arizona and California.  Oregon and Washington are gorgeous in their short dry summers, but I couldn't hack the other nine months of overcast gloom.

Least faves:  Mississippi, Louisiana, Alabama (miserable humidity and pretty flat)

Also, the plains states of Iowa, Nebraska, Kansas are really flat and boring terrain (I like mountains).

Only 21 so far, All of New England the whole east coast, some great lake states, and Nevada.  I'm still young I'll see more

I've missed only WASH, ORE, MONT, IDAHO, ND, SD, MINN, IOWA, IND, WISC, MICH, OKLA, NEB AND ALASKA.

Would love to spend some time in the Pacific Northwest.  Haven't made it much further north than Sonoma.
