if Big Baby managed to win, what's the over/under on him eating Leon's remains?

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
He's tryin to stay lean. I think he eats the tenderloins and leaves the rest for Scott Pollard. No carbs in the tenders.

How about Bill Walker vs. Paul Pierce?

Have you seen the hands on Walker? Stronger legs too.

Is it fighting dirty if PP went for Walker's knees?  :P

Leon would wreck BBD, btw.

Two questions:

Who wins an MMA style fight between these two beasts?

Who has better long term potential to be a solid contributor to the Green?

Hmmmm...if one of them ends up dead from a steel cage match that would seriously inhibit his ability to contribute to the bench :D

I'll go with Powe on both counts, though Big Baby may end up sticking around as a Celtic longer.

I'm not sure I see Davis on the team after this year. He signed a 2 year contract and Leon signed a 3rd. They could sign Leon and still have their MLE or sign Davis out of their MLE. If Davis keeps his weight down and is worth signing he has to be better than Leon + whoever we'd sign instead of him with the MLE but not good enough to get a close to MLE offer elsewhere.

PP would just take Walker out for shots first, then take him down easy, as we know Paul has an amazing ability to handle his liquor

This isn't true.  The C's have early bird rights on Davis, so they can also sign him without using any exceptions for anything up to the league average salary (which is the same as the MLE).  The only difference with Powe is that the C's can go over the league average salary to resign him.

Since I doubt either of them will be worth more than the MLE next year, they are likely playing for their celtics lives this year, because there is a good chance that only one of them is resigned...but contractwise they are on relatively equal footing.

Big Baby's only defense would be to sit on his head and hope he passes out.

Now that's what I call Suffocating defense.

that made me literally laugh out loud so TP.

Reading this makes me go with BBD.  In the summer of 2001, being only 15 years of age and attending a basketball camp held by LSU alumnus Shaquille O'Neal on the campus of Louisiana State University, Davis challenged his idol O'Neal to a friendly wrestling match, in which he lifted the 7 ft 1 in (2.16 m), 350 lb (160 kg/25 st) center and body-slammed him to the ground, which left an impression on the NBA All-Star. Ultimately, this incident helped him to get introduced to former LSU head coach Dale Brown.[10]-wikipedia

Well, Powe has the speed advantage but Baby looks like a guy who can take punches. Though, Powe does look like he can land a good one. I don't know, man, I'm gonna say a draw.

Leon Powe late in the first round. Last 15 seconds BBD would run out of breath and Powe would dunk on him..into submission..?

Powe has the long term potential as he might not have a consistent jumper, but he bangs for the boards and can dunk. BBD just doesn't see to get up there unless he's Wiiiiiiiide open.
Can't stop, Rondo!

If Bill Walker got in a death match with Paul Pierce, the Captain wouldn't need to worry, I'd put Walker out of his misery somehow myself for the better of the team.

Yao Ming or Shawn Bradley?

I would have to give this one to Yao after seeing all those beatings Bradley get throughout his careers to players smaller than him.
