  • Eagerly Awaiting the Next Fantasy Draft
So what do people think of my know that I have a starting five and two reserves

C-Dwight Howard
PF- Kenyon Martin
SF- Bruce Bowen
SG- Larry Hughes
PG- Steve Nash

backups until they come and take their deserved spot in the starting lineup: Al Thornton, Eric Gordon.

That is a veteran lineup with energizing youth coming off the bench. If Bowen or Hughes falter Gordon and Thornton are right there to replace them.
Very good defensive team with a first team all defensive player (Bowen) a second team all defensive player (dwight). A guy who averages over a steal and a block a game (K-Mart). A guy who once lead the league in steals (Hughes). Two athletic guys who will come around to a strong veteran defensive presence. And at PG... ummm, well hopefully Nash outscores the other teams pg.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

I like the 1 and 5 a lot (and they're the two most important positions, so that's good).  I don't love the other 3 starters, but they're all veterans that know how to play, so it can't hurt... and with Nash running things and Howard clearing space for everyone else, all 3 could be effective.  Really like your first two options off the bench.

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
The Phoenix Suns' President, IndeedProceed, would like to submit a 'thank you' to wdleehi for not assigning him to a team in Roy's division. The Suns feel like they've got more than a puncher's chance of winning their division.

First, a LeBron James team never panics.  Bring Portland on.

Second, Roy should pretty much be excluded from any awards.   Giving him best team for now/future is like giving LeBron a "Best Basketball Player" award in a 2 man competition between him and a 2 year old girl.  RH gets all the credit as "Best pre- and in-draft finagler" but to draft anything short of a dynasty with the picks he had would've been near impossible.  (This is not meant at a shot at Roy.... just pointing out that it's kind of silly to compare any team that went with mostly traditional drafting or even like Steve's team (almost no early picks) to Roy's powerhouse).  That was a lesson in trades and persistence I guess.

Hindered due to the gross mismanagement of the draft prior to my arrival, I have made due and attempted to make the Hornets competitive in the short term, with potential in the long term.

PG- Jarret Jack
SG- Josh Howard
SF- Tayshaun Prince
PF- Jason Maxiell
C- Nedad Kristic

Bench: Linas Kleza.

The Hornets hope to excel on the defensive end, play a slow down, methodical game and try to win "ugly games".  If one of Kleza/Maxiell turn into real players the Hornets believe they have a lot of upside building around Howard/Prince and Maxiell/Kleza
