Pistons are too low in these ranking imo and the Knicks are too high. Posey isn't a 2.

2s are easy to find though.  Posey would probably be the 6th man.

They have the making of one of the best defensive teams.

My new and improved team:

Detroit Pistons

C:  (26) Chris Kaman       7'0       15.7 ppg 12.7 rpg 2.8 bpg
PF: (25) Emeka Okafor      6'10      13.8 ppg 10.7 rpg 1.7 bpg (on an off year)
SF: (29) Hedo Turkoglu     6'10      19.5 ppg 5.7 rpg  5.0 apg
SG: (27) Jason Richardson  6'6          21.8 ppg 5.4 rpg, 41% 3pt
PG: (30) Jason Terry       6'2          15.5 ppg, (5.2 apg and 44 % 3pt in 06-07)

My team might not be the youngest out there, but they are certainly not old. We have some good size, especially with the frontline. Everybody is entering their primes and my team can still contend for at least 5 years. It is impossible to score on the inside with Kaman and Okafor manning the middle. Terry is not really a pass-first PG, but Turkoglu is running the offense. Terry can spot up while Richardson can drive and complete some flashy dunks. Turkoglu is the key to my team. He will run the offense and create for himself as well as others. He is in my opinon one of the top point-forwards in the league.

Plus with 5 picks in the next two rounds, we can round out our bench very easily.

Don't mess with these Pistons

Anybody care to critique my team?

Questions, comments, criticisms, advice?

I like it, man.  The two biggest areas to improve are wing defense, and point guard (you could use a pure passer).  I guess the other area for (small) criticism is the lack of a true superstar, although Hedu was pretty clutch last year, and Richardson had his moments.

Nice foundation.  I'm curious to see what you do with your next five picks.

Definitly needs a go to guy like Wade, AI or Bosh.   ;)

Haha.  I wasn't in love with the Wade trade (or moreso, the replacements drafted).  I like this version, though.  It had to have been tough trading Bosh, but CFF got to of the best young men out there (and rumor has it that Charlotte is willing to let Yao go for a young center plus picks, if CFF decides to go that route).

I disagree on the Knicks being a top defensive team, KG and Posey yes but Lewis isn't a good defender, Miller is so so and Dampier gets benched too much.

Before last year, Ray wasn't a good defender, Pierce was so so and Perkins got benched to often.

Don't underestimate KG effect on his teammates.

I love Boozer, Gasol, Dunleavy, and Murphy, and would gladly take any of those four one my team for a 6th rounder. ;)

  • The good ole days.
Minnesota Timberwolves

PG:  Jose Calderon
SG:  Ronnie Brewer
SF:  LeBron James
PF:  Amir Johnson
C:   Andris Biedrins

Alright, let's hear the critiques!

I know the "obvious" weakness is Amir Johnson, but I really believe he's going to come into his own this season.  Outside of him, it is 4 solid (and young, young, oh so young) starters that were key pieces of good teams.  This team is LeBron James surrounded by a knock down shooter and playmaker, a gritty defender that is extremely efficient with his limited touches, and young athletic freak that is a sabermetric legend, and a young but experience center that is one of the league's best rebounders and most efficient scorers around the basket.  These 4 were drafted with LeBron James in mind.  And you best believe the first options of the bench will be more shooters and a reliable, established backup power forward to mentor and support Amir Johnson.

I think you need some size up front and a post scorer would be good.

ill definitely take some critiques on my Bucks squad

pg-kirk hinrich(27)
sg-ricky davis(28)
sf-brandon rush(23)
pf-josh smith(22)
c -marcus camby(34)

bench: marreese speights(21)

my own critique that i see thus far is unfortunately a team of 2nd and 3rd bananas at best. unfortunately couldnt get in early enough to draft a star and as such leadership is an issue. however i like the way the defense is shaping up with camby and josh protecting the rim and hinrich and rush on the perimeter as solid defenders. i think speights projects as the next solid post big man. hes got moves in the post. he can hit the midrange shot and can rebound and block a shot. great summer league to begin his career. think he has a bright future.

News out of San Antonio

The San Antonio Spurs guarantees first place in the Southwest division beating out teams like the Houston Rockets, Dallas Mavericks, New Orleans Hornets, and Memphis Grizzlies.

When asked about the bold prediction Spurs owner/GM BigAlTheFuture said, "We think we have one of the best players in the league in Chris Paul that is capable of changing the course of the game with his offensive weapons and the ability to make his teammates better. Jeff Green will have a breakout season and is capable of scoring 18 points per game. Travis Outlaw is also a great young player. We know we only have 3 players on the roster so far but we feel very confident about the upcoming season and also the rest of the draft."

Then asked about what he plans to do for the rest of the draft.

"We plan on picking bigs with our next two picks and filling out the roster with young talent with the rest of the draft picks we have left. The organization is trying to build a team for the future but also a team that is capable of winning games now, so, if the draft comes out as plan, we should have a 10-13 year window of winning games."
PHX Suns: Russell Westbrook, Chris Bosh, Tristan Thompson, Trevor Ariza, Tony Allen, Trey Lyles, Corey Brewer, Larry Nance Jr., Trey Burke, Troy Daniels, Joffrey Lauvergne, Justin Holiday, Mike Muscala, 14.6

there are plenty of 2's that i can get for my knicks.  Posey is definatly going to be that guy off the bench so don't take my first 5 picks as my starting 5.

Dampier is there to take pressure off of KG so that he doesn't have to play center... also can score in the low post so KG can stay in the high post... and i disagree with whoever said that Miller is not a good defender because he is an excellent defender.
