as the summer doldrums continue, here's another fun one... rules are you have to have actually met the person, not seen them on the street (Emilio!) or "talked" to them on IM... mine is the Rock... cool guy

  • I left Indiana. Because it was horrible.

The Mighty Duck Man!

Living in Nashville I had a few encounters with country stars, which included long discussions about toothpaste with Alan Jackson and getting politely shot down by Carrie Underwood, who wanted nothing to do with me.
CB Draft Bucks: Chris Paul, Dwight Howard, Tobias Harris, Zach LaVine, Aaron Afflalo, Jeff Green, Donatas Motiejunas, Jarrett Jack, Frank Kaminsky, Lance Stephenson, JaVale McGee, Shane Larkin, Nick Young

DKC Bucks. Also terrible.

De La Soul, here in Copenhagen
a couple of years ago, after a
gig they played.
I was struck with awe and they
were just very down to earth.
Cool stuff, indeed.

I met Charles Barkley at a Celtics game, I was really young at the time. It was a quick handshake and a signature, not much of a meeting. The only other celebrity I've met in my young life was Jake "The Snake" Roberts. I'm not sure if The Snake counts as a celebrity or not but I figured I would throw it out there. Yeah, my life has been hurting on the celebrity side of things...

haha I used to work at a place where a lot of local celebrities would come in, it was always fun to shoot the crap with them - I remember Don Sweeny would come in and we could only focus on his wife... former pro figure skater, wow!  Gary Gullman would come in - he was actually a substitute teacher at my hs before he became famous, a few other comics, wrestlers, musicians, pro athletes would be seen, Chris Ford comes to mind... but its amazing how regular people are even when they are celebrities (for the most part - a few dinks come to mind, won't name names)

do Senators count? how about John Kerry or Joe Biden.

In terms of hottest: Alyssa Milano (she was really short).

Doctor J. I went to the US to improve my english and there he was playing a golf tournament in Sun Valley, Idaho. It was a pleasure to have an autograph from him. that happened back in the 1987 summer.

my dad would be so jealous. I manage his netflix (he doesn't have a computer) and he constantly asks for movies with her in it, especially ones where she umm shows some skin...

  • Doc could learn a thing or two from Norman Dale
Kevin Costner, Robin Wright Penn, Sean Penn, Shannon Miller, Susan Collins, or Marvin Hagler.  Whichever one of them is most famous.

Got you all beat

CelticsBlog CEO Jeff paid a visit to my shop today!

It was sort of like the Wizard of Oz revealing himself from behind the curtain.

For real (not that your not a bvig celeb Jeff ;) ()

When I was 14 I was working the gatehouse at a private club on Cape Cod and long story short I refused to let Tip O'Neill through the gate because he didn't have a sticker on his car (my job description pretty much consisted of "press the up button if they have a stick, don't if they don't - not bad for $3.35 an hour!)

I waited on Bryan Doyle Murray once!
Yup

Well, I'm young yet, so I'm guessing I'll meet some famous people later on. I've seen Willem Dafoe in an airport bathroom, I didn't really talk to him though.

I have met Mike Gorman though. Walked up to him after a game and we started talking about the Celtics. This was actually the 06-07 season, when we talked about how bad things were going. Anyway I shook his hand and got his autograph, one of the nicest people I've met.

Matt Damon.  I caddied for his dad quite a bit the past few summers.  Both are very cool guys.
"Take this down," said O'Neal. "My name is Shaquille O'Neal and Paul Pierce is the (expletive) truth. Quote me on that and don't take nothing out. I knew he could play, but I didn't know he could play like this. Paul Pierce is the truth."
