Yes.  Last year, there were players signed after the draft was over.

My board had 424 players on it plus 60 rookies so thats 480

450 players will be selected.  So yea there will be enough.

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
I believe I'm now on the clock.

With the 6th pick in the 10th round, the Atlanta Hawks select Ike Diogu.

I used to like Ike..now not so much.

The year before he came out when he played for Arizona State. He was an absolute monster. A monster with great passing skill and good touch around the hoop.

I think he was very similar to Leon Powe, with possibly a more polished offensive game.  It's a little ironic that Ike is the one who has had all of the injuries now that he is in the pros, since Powe was the one who plummeted in the draft because of his injuries in college.

Plus, bouncing around has not been good for him either.  He was a bad fit in GS.

Yup, and unfortunately, he has gone to a team that has too many young big men already.

a client i work with and i talk basketball throughout the year, so i'd been asking his advice on picks as they came up (i can credit him for the Harpring pick).  I finally explained to him yesterday that there is no league, just a draft -- which is the fun of it for me.

This is what i got back from him  after asking his opinion on big men i was looking at with my #5 pick this round.  He'd picked one of the other 4 guys i was looking at along with Sheldon Williams.  After I sent back to him that i'd taken Williams along with some draft talk and my super sleeper picks, he wrote:

You're probably aware of this, but I think that you and your draft buddies have a problem.

So i might be looking for a new asst. GM/advance scout. ;D

Haha.  Same here.  I would of course encourage folks to try to conduct / finalize trade discussions before the moment when they're on the clock, but I think that that is a losing battle.
