can I make my pick now or should I just wait?

Gotta wait until 7:00pm, I think.

If everyone has picked, go ahead.

Darn Commissioner, changing the rules in the middle of the game. ;)

I adjust certain rules on the fly.

It isn't like I changed the type of ball used midway through the season.

Bobcats send:
Yao Ming and Ben Gordon

Pistons send:
Jason Richardson, Chris Kaman, Michael Pietrus

It hurt to give up Pietrus, which is a huge piece of my bench, but I like what I have now. After getting Stackhouse in the 9th round (which I felt was tremendous value) I still have 10 players. Now I finally have a superstar to build around in Yao and I feel Gordon isn't much of a downgrade from J Rich.

Yao/Hibbert
Okafor/Landry
Turkoglu/Stackhouse
Gordon/Terry
Watson/Lowry

Still looking to trade either Stackhouse or Terry for a defensive-minded player, as I see perimeter defense as my main area that needs improvement.

Fortune favors the bold. Everyone deserves a second chance. Have it your way.

Bold words. With those in mind, the Phoenix Suns select Etan Thomas.

mighta been a 14th round pick for me --- love that cat's heart and political passion.  Figurative heart, his literal one sounds to be on the mend (think he got a full clearance for this year recently, right?)

Every team needs a poet-in-residence. With quasi-detachable dreads that come loose during heated scuffles during practice.

I dunno my boys, Etan Thomas got the 100% go ahead in April after months of limited rehabilitation, he's one of the toughest, most physical centers in the NBA, he obviously doesn't have an ounce of quit in him, and he's smart as hell. That is exactly what I want my players to be about.

Mock if ya like but Etan Thomas is gonna go caveman tryin to leapfrog Kendrick Perkins in the starting lineup. I like that, keeps people sharp.

The Blazers select Tony Battie.  He's not the best player left on the board, but he probably *is* the best veteran big man left.

I'd thought about El Busto/Batman when my pick came up last round, but elected to go with Magloire instead.

He's solid, and in limited minutes will get the job done.

Yep, that was my thought.  It's the 10th round, and all I'm looking for right now is role players.

There still is a bit of talent out there, though.

Thats the first pick you've had that lacked the fireworks "Ohhhh, ahhhhh" from the crowd. What, role players aren't sexy picks in the tenth round?

Haha.  I was tempted to go with a "Ooohhhh..." pick, or more likely, a "Groooaaaannnn..." pick, but decided my team needed a center, and a vet.  Plus, it's just not right that my team didn't have a single player with a connection to the Celts.

Great pick.  Gives you an experience defender with size.
