Impressive...  except your jersey still says "Magic".  After all that effort, I was hoping you'd add the "s".

Nicely done, though.  And looking at your team, it looks like you're going to have one of the more interesting locker rooms in the NBA next year.

Will it hurt people's feelings if we talk about the worst teams in our league?  I'd love to think that we were all mature enough to handle a little bit of constructive criticism, but I'm not sure.

Stupid marketing department hasn't finished the new jerseys yet.. >:(

And our locker room will be fine:
-- AI and Delonte have already been discussing new tats
-- Harpring and Duncan have become friends, bonding over their days in the ACC
-- Noah and Brad Miller share their stash and seem kinda tired and hungry all the time
-- and Granger and Thad Young play playstation all day...

And they all love the coaching staff.  Laugh if you will, but the Magics are gonna be tough!

Yeah, Portland sucks.  Agreed.  Clearly, their GM didn't know what he was doing.  He should have foregone the "drafting talent" route, and instead concentrated on putting together a team of 15 role players.

Eh...  I'd better not.  It's not a good idea for a moderator to lead off the criticism.  I'll join in later, though, I promise. ;)

Iggy:  32.9% 3PT%
Gay: 34.6% 3PT%
Blake: 40.6% 3PT%
Webster: 38.8% 3PT%

I'm not sure why you keep insist on saying that my team doesn't have any guys who can hit from outside, but that's simply ridiculous.  Also, as far as big men go, Amare / Horford can both hit from outside, although neither has three point range.  T.J. Ford is a good shooter from within the circle.

Look:  I put together of guys with elite talent who have all demonstrated in the past that they can accept their roles.  The players all fit well together in terms of inside-outside, offense-defense.  For you to criticize it, *repeatedly*, just seems odd to me, especially in terms of how the Bucks presently find themselves situated (i.e., one of the three worst teams in the NBA, without a terribly bright future.)

look roy you wanna make this personal thats your problem. not mine. my team is certainly not one of the 3 worst teams. i acknowledge full that i was not able to get a superstar and i know full well my team is not one of the best. i admit that. i have no problem admitting that. its just a game. i didnt call you out personally. i didnt insult you. i didnt call you a name. someone else commented on the roster you assembled. i made a comment too. simple as that. it certainly has not been repeated. i made 2 comments then you defended your position as i would fully expect you would. i made a counter comment. thats all. but for you to make this some kind of personal affront to your sensibilities or something is a bit beneath you dont you think. oh and bringing up my roster which was not in the conversation at all to begin with...thats mature.

under 35% from the floor is mediocre. sorry. its what antoine used to shoot here. those guys save blake maybe blake arent spot up kick out shooters. theyre slashers that can occasionally hit one from deep. if the real celtics ever faced a team like that theyd pack in on amare and take their chances with gay and igoudala shooting 3s all day and the c's would win that battle almost every time. thats all.

I have no idea what the Thunder are doing. Not saying they have the worst team just saying I don't understand what they're doing.

lol dont be so [dang] melodramatic roy. just to clarify my position if there was any misunderstanding about any "repeateded attacks", you do have a good team. it was just my opinion that i commented to another poster that in my personal opinion(nobody elses) that it wasnt the overall BEST team. then again everybody here loves their teams. as one poster said to me "if you love your team thats all that matters, right?" god and baby jesus forgive me if i offended you.

Shooting 33.3% from three point range is the same as shooting 50% from anywhere else, in terms of scoring.  I'm happy with that.

I took your comments as odd.  It wasn't the comments about my team not being the best that I thought were out of place; it was the repeated criticism of others "anointing" me (which I must be missing).  You'd made similar comments on more than one occasion.  You seemed upset that people like my team, and seemed to be going out of your way to tear it down (by making specious arguments).  If I'm misinterpreting you, then fine, I apologize (although I don't think that's necessary), but that's the way I interpreted it.

I'm not sure why you took my critique on your roster as a personal attack, although I do think it's a poor team (and honestly, probably the worst in the NBA, without doing a full scan of everyone else's teams).  I'm not saying that to "attack" you; I'm just not that high on any of your players, outside of Brandon Rush, who is completely unproven.  You have three unproven players, a team cancer, a guy with a bad attitude (Smith), a brittle center, and a guy coming off of a bad year.  If I used your roster as a comparison to mine, it was to show that it's easy to point out flaws in somebody's roster, but it's not so easy to put that team together when you're the one doing it.

fair enough. my team sucks. youres is awesome. youre cool. im not a cool person. lets move on. im just saying and maybe i shouldve put it this way. what makes amare so dangerous i think in real life on that phoenix is their ability to surround him with kickout shooters. and i mean guys shooting 25% pretty much at minimum. most are shoot 40% 39% 42% and these guys are getting most of the time amare to make sure teams dont sag. since i knew amare was the cornerstone i had a little less faith in guys like gay and igou being comfortable camping out on the perimeter waiting for kickouts but perhaps that was my misjudgement. and perhaps i really didnt understand all the rules in this exercise. either way i absolutely agree its not easy when youre the one putting the roster together.  and i certainly will never claim to be a master at doing it. so i gues i should just shut my mouth. but considering everyone else is throwing their opinions around here too i didnt see the harm in making a comment. apparently i was wrong.

as for my roster which again admittedly needs work. i took a recent DPOY center that played in 79 games last year, a versatile young up and coming forward that is a freak athlete. an nba ready rookie with all the tools to become a solid wing, a pg who had an off year but is a better player than last year and is languishing is a slow down offense that doesnt allow him to get out in the open court and create plays. speights i believe is the next up and coming post big man. i like him better than beasley actually long term due to his size and skill at both ends. i think hes a future 18/9 guy. its him and smith im building around for the future. and then i took ricky davis...on that i have no excuse. i guess it just depends on how we all look at it. but im just gonna keep any remotely negative comments about anybodys team to myself from now one and keep the peace.

Superstar league.

I still have Detroit 4th in the East after the Knicks, Magic and Nets.

Top 3 in the East?!? ::)

Yoouuuuuuuuuuuurrr Orlando Magciiiiiiiiiiiicsss!

Those three teams are listed alphabetically.

All three teams are close.  All three have a superstar.  All three have solid players that fit.

Though I never trust an AI team where he has to share.

If i may, i thought Roy was just being playfull sarcastic to my sarcastic remark about PORTLAND being the worst team in the league. I chose POR b/c (a) they're actually pretty good and (b) as an active poster he seems good natured enough about getting made fun of.....

I do think that we should assess the rosters as that -- rosters in a game... i see this all as an exercise in debating talent/fits within the NBA, as well as WICKED FUN.  And certainly reasonable people can reasonably disagree about the nature of these FAKE nba teams  :)

FWIW -- i just sat down with the rosters for the first time.. in the East i like these 8 teams as the playoff teams thus far (remember this is just 1 GM's opinion):

First 7 Eastern Conf. seeds in rough order.... Toronto / Charlotte / New Jersey / Detroit / New York / Atlanta / Milwaukee / ...... Orlando is in the top 8 but i don't want to rank my own team yet.

NOTE: I think teams can still rise/fall if they get or don't get the guys to fill holes in their rosters...  ubuntu, y'all!
