Everywhere he goes, his team fails, the Blazers as soon as he left, flourished (sure Brandon Roy had 1 more year to deveop into an even better player) and the Knicks (sure it's a mess already) but if he went to any other teams, he'd destroy them as well, so therefore I want him on the Lakers next season. Tongue

He's been on two teams, why are you making him out to be a journeyman? Secondly, one of his Blazer teams went to the playoffs. The Blazers have not made the playoffs since he left. The Knicks were a failure before Randolph was traded there.

Can we mention current coaches that have suited up as well?

I think Scott Skiles is a horrible coach. Can't get the rotations right with his squads, and now he is going to be the Bucks coach. Good luck with that, Milwaukee.

Anything he ever did as a player has been negated by what he has done as a coach.

They got 2 lottery picks for Brand (Curry and Chandler) and two for trading Eddy Curry (Ty Thomas and Joakim Noah) and still sucked with Skiles onboard.

i agree with most of you guys on the names mentioned, would also like to add jamal tinsley.

one guy that i cant stand in the NBA is Scott Foster for personal reasons.

i met his at a ningt club in 2007 when we had the horrible yr.
i offered him a beer, and as we started talking, he told me that the Pacers were going to f**k up the Celts the next day cuz they were a horrible team.
when the bar tender got the beer, i told him to walk away cuz he shouldnt be talkin crap about a team in their home town, and did not give him the beer he asked for.
the next night pierce dunkd in his face and we won the game, one of my favorite moments from a terrible season, but what a satisfying moment that was

A couple of throwbacks from the 80's: Chris Washburn and William Bedford.

I'm not trying to make him sound like a journeyman, and I am exaggerating, surely he's not as bad a player I make him sound, at least I hope not for the sake of the NBA  :P But as I said, he's just the first player that comes to my mind, and he is just special if you know what I mean.

i mean come on, youve done it right?

Never done drugs. No desire at all. If someone wants to wreck their life doing it that's on them. Just don't tell these kids it's okay.

Jayson Williams.  The NJ Center who shot his driver and his Rottweiler.  What a scumbag!

who the hell wrecks their lives smoking pot? And how is Josh Howard pathetic and a coward for admitting to it in an interview? God forbid a player actually tells the truth during an interview for once. Josh Howard is a basketball player, man, he has no responsibilities as a role model. He gets paid to put balls in hoops, not to raise your kids for you.

And in the end, even if you hate the "everyone does it" excuse, it's still the truth. Atleast 60% of the league smokes in the offseason.

I must admit Mark Blout is the first player that came to mind; however, Zach Randolph was a very close second. Chris Washburn and Vin Baker (during his stint on the Celtic payroll) were both pretty large wastes of oxygen.

What about those old Dallas teams where Michael Finley seemed to toil away by himself?  I can't remember who else was on those teams but he certainly didn't get much help.

My way of looking at this question is who is mailing it in as individual.  Kandi is high up there, Jerome James parlayed, what was it . . . a good playoff series into a retirement plan.  And he's not the first.  Washburn ranks up there; Blount was an obvious and immediate example.

However, in the NBA that I know, Derrick Coleman is the freakin' poster child, though Vince Carter gets honorable mentions for what he did to the Raptors.  Ugh.

i got to go with Vince Carter.  The guy has all the talent in the world.  If he applied himself even 75%, he could have been one of the top 25 players to ever play if not higher.  put paul pierce's heart with VC's talent and that player would be right up with Kobe and LeBron.

its easy to pick out the fringe players but the tragedy is the great players that plateau despite their immense talents

Matt Geiger - refused to play for the Hornets during the playoffs out of fear that he'd hurt himself with free agency coming up.  Even though doctors had cleared him, he still refused to participate.  The Hornets would have had one of the better center rotations with him and Divac, but Geiger didn't want to risk it...in the playoffs.  In fact, at halftime of one game against Atlanta, he left the team at halftime.

There's a player with no heart, no commitment, and no team mentality.
That man lived at The Men's Club of Charlotte. All the strippers said he was cheap and wouldn't pay for anything. He walked around like he was actually important and famous all the time.
