We need to wait a couple of months to pull this one off (due to restrictions on players being re-traded) but I think the parameters are there for this one to work out:

Boston trades: Ray Allen, Kevin Garnett, Glen Davis, James Posey, Eddie House, Scot Pollard
Boston receives: Al Jefferson, Ryan Gomes (S&T), Sebastian Telfair (S&T), Jeff Green, Wally Sczerbiak, Delonte West (S&T), Yi Jianlian,  Trent Plaistead

Cleveland trades: Wally Sczerbiak, Delonte West
Cleveland receives: Ray Allen

Minnesota trades: Al Jefferson, Ryan Gomes, Sebastian Telfair
Minnesota receives: Kevin Garnett

Seattle trades: Jeff Green, Trent Plaistead
Seattle receives:  BBD, James Posey (S&T)

New Jersey trades:  Yi Jianlian
New Jersey receives:  Eddie House (S&T), Scot Pollard (S&T)

==================================

Why for Boston: We get a group of young players to supplement the current potential on our roster, and get a true post player in Big Al.  KG is at his peak trade value, coming off a championship; this gives us the opportunity to cash him in for some legitimate first-tier young talent. We trade Ray Allen for an expiring contract, which allows us to reload at the trade deadline.

This trade opens our window of opportunity by several years, setting us up long into the future.  It also allows us to play small ball on a full-time basis, by shifting Big Al over to center and playing Gomes at PF.

C: Perk / O'Bryant / Plaistead
PF: Big Al / Jianlian / Powe
SF: Pierce / Gomes / B. Walker
SG: J. Green / Wally / Giddens
PG: Rondo / Delonte / Telfair / Pruitt

You can't go wrong with that roster.  The only downside is that we have to cut one player to get down to the maximum roster size of 15.

(Yes, folks, the above was tongue-in-cheek.)

Oh by the way you forgot to mention that the very next day Paul Pierce demands to be traded. Get Real.

Wow...  as an Ayn Rand fan, I figured you would have an appreciation for reading things through to the end (even if simple humor and an appreciation for the events of the past year go above your head).  I guess not.

This post is epic.

The trade makes sense on paper.  Ray's got gimpy ankles.  But I don't think Minny or Seattle would ever agree to it.   Get real.

Apparently some people don't understand the expression "tongue in cheek."

Anyway, I love the deal.  It may not help next year, but there's a potential for a dynasty there if Al Jefferson becomes the next Kevin Garnett and Jeff Green the next Ray Allen!

Let's do it!

Darn it, I knew I forgot something.  To supplement the above trade:

Boston trades: bag of golf balls
Boston receives: Gerald Green

 ;)

Love it...  Could you find a way to trade Scal in that proposal and then get him back for more money and more years.   ;D ;D

Couldn't we have just stand pat & kept this same young roster & not have traded for K.G. & also had kept the immortal Gerald Green by just removing Plaisted!

Uhhhh... no.   You're forgetting about the upside of Trent Plaistead.   I think it's a pretty solid trade, really.

I know I have since edited my previous post. I want no parts of Plaisted! Give me 2 Geralds before I touch him!
