I stand by my statement.

In case I wasn't clear:  your statement was unacceptable.  We don't allow posts like that here, because by their nature, they're demeaning.  You can disagree with somebody's point of view without labeling it as "dumb".  Many others have been able to do so, and I'm sure you're capable, as well.

Everybody should stop the bickering, now.

One more post of this nature and you're banned.  Not suspended.  Banned.

Ban, verb: To expel from a community or group.

That's the google definition.  I hope that's sufficiently clear.

Getting things back on topic, has Ainge contacted any bigs other than Anderson? I'm hoping for a signing of a Mourning, Thomas, Elson or Skinner.

I hope he has contact players like Elson and Foyle.  Two C that can play defense and shown the ability to come off the bench.

We've been linked to our own free agents plus Maggette, Chris Anderson, Chris Duhon, Keyon Dooling, Tyrone Lue, and Jason Williams, off the top of my head.

I'm not thrilled with Williams or Lue.  The only important times Rondo's not going to be on the court is when we need another shooter, and I think House fills that role perfectly well.

Frankly, with PJ likely retiring, I'd like Danny to waive goodbye to Cassell and Pollard, resign Posey, House and TA along with the rookies and sign Anderson, an athletic big the Celts really need.

I think Thomas has already reached an agreement in principle with the Spurs to resign. Read it somewhere. Have no idea about the others, but I'm pretty sure that Mourning is not feasible (there were rumors that Ainge contacted Zo, IIRC). I wouldn't mind to see Elson and Skinner in green.

Oh, and it's AndersEn. Amager Celtic Fan explains ;)

I would like Elson.  Foyle, I'm not as enamored with.

I wouldn't mind signing Anderson.   I don't think a PG is as important as a big.  I wouldn't mind bringing back House and giving Pruitt a chance.  If he doesn't work out, we can always look mid year as we did with Cassell.  I think House/Pruitt as a back up would be as good as any that Danny is looking at.  If he has to sign one, Lue wouldn't be a bad choice.

Of the bigs mentioned, I would go with Anderson.  He is in Boston today talking with Danny and hopefully he likes what he hears.

I like Diop a lot, what do people think he is going to command in the market? Half the MLE or maybe even the LLE? I don't think Lue is that good, I think we should go in a different direction before going after Lue (Duhon and House would both be better). A lot of people have mentioned Pietrus but I like Barnes a lot more than him. I apologize for the bickering earlier I threw out an idea (albeit a farfatched one) to see what people thought and apartently it wasn't well recieved, when it wasn't I should have just taken it not answered the criticism, my bad.

Rumor has it that Dallas will offer the full MLE.  I wouldn't pay nearly that much.

The Globe article mentioned that Danny called several free agents, but did not disclose all of them (it seemed that Maggette let the media know not Danny). Who else do you think Danny offered a pay cut with the chance of a championship? My money is on Elton Brand, if he's forced to take a pay cut with the Clips to sign Baron why not the C's? Any other ideas of potential free agents Ainge would call right after mid night?

Elton Brand is not walking through that door!

I don't really understand the Elson love here. I saw him play in San Antonio and believe me, the guy is dumb. Forget low basketball IQ, try no basketball IQ. He was constantly clueless on both sides of the floor, missing key defensive rotations and forgetting plays on the offensive end. It's no surprise the Spurs in their 2007 title run turned to Oberto instead as their center, even though he's clearly not as skilled.

Granted, he's very athletic and a pretty solid rebounder, and will come cheaply, but I'd much rather have someone else if possible.

Haha After us winning the championship that Pitino quote brings up a whole different set of emotions. Before it used to make me angry thinking about how bad he screwed up our team. Now it makes me laugh at him because he's a terrible coach/GM. Also you can't just say one persons not coming through the door, I want you to name two other free agents who aren't coming to us to complete the reference.
