Is anyone going to anything good this summer?

I may go see G. Love and special sauce at the end of August

and one of my favorite songwriters John Prine is coming in September

Will check out some local shows, love going to cambridge or allston to see up and coming people, but yeah its kind of a quiet concert scene

Just got the new G-Love CD today.  I'm a big fan, but I'd give it an "EHH".

I have some freebie tix to see some B-Acts at the Cape Cod Melody Tent.  Moe, Gov'T Mule & Ani DiFranco.  I think I might go see Ani.  I'm intrigued and I've never seen her.
Yup

I've seen Gov't mule before, with the Allman's, fun jam band, got some good tunes, and Haynes is a genius on guitar - Ani could be an interesting show, I once watched one of those channel 2 concerts and she was on, and her passion was unbelievable - haven't heard the new G Love, he was my first concert, so always will have a special place in my heart

Nice choice.

I saw STP a couple of weeks ago.  Plan on seeing Steve Earle, the Supersuckers, and The Hold Steady in the next couple of months.

KC and the Sunshine Band will be at the cape cod melody tent in August. Maybe they can get a Gino lookalike to dance to Shake Your Booty.

I saw AZ last week and Masta Ace friday night.  Both were amazing although AZ was better.

compared to years past there are very few shows that interest me this summer.

I recently saw the Cure at BU and I have to say it was one of the best shows I have seen in years - many years.

I have tickets to see the Police & Elvis Costello at Great Woods and I live within walking distance to the South Shore Music Circus which has essentially the same line up at the Melody Tent on the Cape.  Have to say, not the most impressive of line ups but it's a pretty cool little venue and to be able to walk to a show is great.

I love my kids, call me a sap - it's true.

I was at the Cure show too. The did a great job and I def got my money's worth.

I'm taking it easy this summer. I have Radiohead tickets and have passed on other shows, though there are quite a few interesting ones this summer.

What really (really) impressed me about the Cure was that not for 1 second did they mail it in.  The show was 37 songs long and it was strong all the way through.  Based on what I heard, I am very much looking forward to their new album coming out this fall.

My wife is a big fan on Ani DiFranco so I got tickets to see her at the Cape Cod Tent a few years ago and I ust admit I was pleasantly surprised. It was a really good show. Worth checking out.

S Shorefan 2. If you are within walking distance to SS Music I believe Boz Scaggs is there this summer. I've seen him a few times and haven't been disappointed yet.
