Let's start with John Salmons ($5,104,000), Trenton Hassell ($4,350,000), Willie Green ($3,388,000), Greg Buckner ($3,759,259), DeShaun Stevenson ($3,616,071), Charlie Bell ($3,348,000), Damien Wilkins ($3,100,000), Keith Bogans ($2,911,600)and Trevor Ariza ($,2,911,600).

I'd place Allen right in the middle of that mediocre list of players, but there does appear to be a market for great athletes with mediocre basketball intelligence.

Ironically, outside of Ariza, Stevenson, and Bell ... you could make the argument that every team on that list wants to rid themselves of those players and views their contracts as a mistake.

So.  I agree that some team could make a mistake and offer Allen more than the LLE.  He isn't worth it.

Well, Tony has his supporters, like me, and his detractors, like you, Doc Rivers and Danny Ainge.  It will be interesting to see where he signs, and for how much.  It almost certainly won't be in Boston.
