It is unclear how well Rondo would do on another team with lack of playing time.  With his poor judgement and poor shooting, not so good I suspect.

PJ, Mourning, etc. are very old, OK?  One pop of Perk's shoulder and required surgery could cause the Celtics to lose homecourt advantage in the playoffs next year.  The biggest need is a reliable backup CENTER.

Everyone wants truth on his side, not everyone wants to be on the side of truth.

Rondo's shooting is decent and his decision making is well above average. An assist/turnover ratio of 4.5/1 in the finals in his first trip to the playoffs is pretty impressive. He'd get plenty of playing time on most of the teams in the league.

Which very obviously defeats your own argument that Doc has failed in integrating perimeter players.

Also, I am sure that Greene is definitely PG who can start on a championship team... and that's why he's out of the league right now.

And yes, I am very hostile to people who never bothered to learn the name of players who are on the roster of the team they supposedly root for. Blame Canada.

This discussion is surreal. Does anyone really think we could have found a big man in the draft - with our pick, or even moving up 10-15 spots -, able to be our backup center next season? Coming playoffs time, we need guys like Pollard or PJ, not a not-so-good rookie as the first big from the bench.

I'm not worried, reports are that Danny was planning on contacting Mourning and Mutombo soon. I know both are old but they are exactly what we need, good, solid, tough defensive minded veteran big men. We don't need 40 minutes a night from them, so their age is ok. We need experienced warriors, and I'm sure Danny will get us at least one. No one in their right mind was expecting us to draft a big man that would fulfill this need for us this year.

Rondo is far and away the better player than OG - He's already one of the top PGs in the league, there are what? maybe 5 teams that wouldn't start him: Phoenix, Utah, New Orleans, Dallas, and Detroit - am I right? Right now there isn't even one NBA team who wants Greene as their 12th man!

On the big man issue, they'll get some help there via the FA market...
Now, on to 18...

Clifford Ray has done well with Al, Perk, Powe and Baby.  Doc has had trouble incorporating Gerald Green, Marcus Banks, Telfair, Allan Ray, Orien Greene, Jiri Welsh, Kedrick Brown, Ricky Davis and maybe Tony Allen.  Doc will have his hands full trying to coach Giddens and Walker (because they are young or have a checkered past like the examples above)--while trying to win a title.
I was starting to write this well argued response explaining why you can't compare undrafted free agent Allan Ray, 50-something pick Orien Greene and Welsch, who is out of the league, to four guys that were all picked in the top 35 picks, but then figured out it would be a waste explaining this to a guy who thinks Doc should have 'incorporated' a guy that wasn't even on any of his teams (Kedrick Brown).

koz, u get a TP for this one!  lol
