If we were picking an MVP for the first half, I think it would have to be one of those 6-way ties. Pierce, KG, Ray, Rondo, Posey, and House have all be phenomenal (and I don't want to leave out Perk's defensive effort, either).

You can't be in the paint for more than 3 seconds unless you're within "guarding distance" of your man.fair enough. why can't they call the offensive 3 seconds, the time beforeThe joke is, because refs aren't smart enough to be able to count on both of their hands at once. Thus, it's either offensive or defensive.I understand the 3 second rule. But the two fouls on Baby for Illegal defense, were those 3 seconds? I don't think so, he was just guarding Pau Gasol. But maybe I missed something?"Illegal defense" is one and the same with the three second rule. There used to be a more complicated illegal defense rule, but that got eliminated back in 2002 or 2003.
