If we were picking an MVP for the first half, I think it would have to be one of those 6-way ties.  Pierce, KG, Ray, Rondo, Posey, and House have all be phenomenal (and I don't want to leave out Perk's defensive effort, either).
Pierce was the star of the half for me with Rondo filling in second. Rondo was incredible. Those two created just about every shot offensively for the team. Rondo was a terror defensively too.

Great team performance everybody getting involved and putting in large contributions.

How is that bandage helping Perk's shoulder at all?
"Take this down," said O'Neal. "My name is Shaquille O'Neal and Paul Pierce is the (expletive) truth. Quote me on that and don't take nothing out. I knew he could play, but I didn't know he could play like this. Paul Pierce is the truth."

I liked the calm, relaxed break of the press resulting in freebies.

that'll do, that'll do.

can someone please explain the illegal defense to me?

On that last play, it was a defensive 3 seconds violation.  You can't be in the paint for more than 3 seconds unless you're within "guarding distance" of your man.

fair enough. why can't they call the offensive 3 seconds, the time before

The joke is, because refs aren't smart enough to be able to count on both of their hands at once.  Thus, it's either offensive or defensive.

I understand the 3 second rule.  But the two fouls on Baby for Illegal defense, were those 3 seconds?  I don't think so, he was just guarding Pau Gasol.  But maybe I missed something?

"Illegal defense" is one and the same with the three second rule.  There used to be a more complicated illegal defense rule, but that got eliminated back in 2002 or 2003.

Thanks.  I tried to TP you, but had already TPed you a short while back...

"Let me call him," Floyd said.

The man shook his head. "O.J. doesn't give out his cell," he said. "He'll call you."

Bandage? That looks like duct tape.

Much obliged.  I think the TPs will be flowing tonight (after the site recovers from the inevitable post-game crash).

Is Radmonovic the worst starter in the history of the Finals?
