I can see Tony playing a little bit, he can defend and rebound even if he's a little out of synch on offense. Sam, though?  Come on. His jumper, which is the only thing he brings to the table, is not even close right now. Let him cheer us on this half from the bench.

I would start Rondo in the second half, but keep him on a tight leash. Hopefully he learned his lesson pulling splinters out of his butt after not looking at the hoop once.

If not, quick hook and hello Mr. House. Hopefully Rage got the message.

Hope they let KG play in the second half. He looked good when Mauer wasn't calling bogus fouls on him.

Who, I agree PJ's got away with a few but Gasol pushes, pushes off and hacks and only gets called for about 1 out of 4.

Get your garbage points now with KG out of the game, O-dumb.

and don't forget to tip your referee.

how does this guy smile after every basket when your team is down 3-1 and all your points are off garbage plays

If Doc starts Powe and Rondo in the second half, I'm going to lose my new found respect for the guy.

this is a tough one, I think Rondo starts, Powe doesn't - in some ways its about more than just the game, and not going with Rondo now could shatter his confidence in the future - give him a few minutes see what he can do, tell him to be aggressive (he did draw that foul on Kobe), then bring in the backups - Powe I wouldn't worry about as much, start PJ, and use Powe as the energy guy off the bench

on the half - what a weird one! somewhat familiar, though giving the Lakers halftime to adjust and calm down could be problematic, their confidence must be so shattered at this point.  If the celtics can get a 10 point lead by the end of the 3rd its over imo...if the c's keep it tied or close, we're in for a long night

note to everyone, don't go to bed now!

Just play Rondo when Kobe is on the bench. When we are talking about being NBA champions, leave your ego at the door or on the bench.
Once you are labeled 'the best' you want to stay up there, and you can't do it by loafing around.

Well I think if we don't let Tony Allen bring the ball upcourt in the third we can go on our trademarked third quarter run.

Seriously, we give Eddie a lot of crap about not being able to bring it up court, but Tony almost lost it about three times. There's no excuse for a guard in the NBA that can't dribble a ball.

HE IS NOT GUARD. NOR F. HE IS TONY.

Don't you just love Kobe's comments? Every time he opens his mouth I get more and more nauseaus! Pierce totally shuts this guy down, but to hear Kobe, you'd think this was all just part of his plan ... I wouldn't be surprised to hear him say: "You know, I'm just lettin' Pierce beat me 'cuz this is his home town, and being the incredibly selfless and magnanimous guy I am, I just want him to have a good visit!" There have truly been few players in the history of the game who have been as condescending and egotistical ... the guy just plain makes me sick! (Thanks ... I feel better now!)  ;)

We're plus 43 in the third quarter in this series. Let's take it to them.

Celtics are in a much better position right now. The Lakers are all over the place.

I loved Tony Allen's pass to Ray for that three pointer, he was eyeing it the whole way and hit Ray on a dime. Lovely work TA.

Agreed. Odom is so annoying during the first half(He's in the locker room peeing himself during the second)

bill has always needed a translator...fortunately, the stuttering is well behind him.
