other than kobe who would you want from the lakers

I am a Vujacic fan.  I think he would be a great fit for our team.  He plays with a lot of energy and heart, and if you suround him with mature players, rather than the children on the Lakers, you could really use that.

I also like Walton, Turiaf, Farmar and Fisher. 

I honestly think the C's should make a run at Vujacic though, who is a RFA this summer.

The thing is, we don't need Vujacic. We need a long big man who can shoot it and play defense, and a defensively oriented wing.

At this point I think that Cassell and Tony will be gone in the off-season, and PJ will retire for good. House must be resigned, which leaves us with 2 particular needs as outlined above.

For the right price, I guess everyone not named Coby Karl, DJ Mbenga or Kobe Bryant (the last one for reasons others have already stated in this post). Who wouldn't want Gasol for $10M/year, Odom for the MLE or Fisher for the LLE? Realistically, I wouldn't mind to see Ariza and Vujacic playing for the C's. But it's not happening in the foreseeable future and, honestly, I'm not that worried.

Very hard worker too. Vujacic was a disgraceful defender when he first came into the league four years ago now he's above average. He's shooting percentages have risen each season. His shot selection has diversified, he's no longer a stand still shooter. He likes to use those dribble hand offs, pump fakes, pull up jump shots. All improvement since he came into the league.

He can play all three positions on the perimeter. He's a smart player. He can pass the ball. He can dribble.

Vujacic is a quality bench player. He could replace Tony Allen in the Celtics' rotation or Eddie House. I've always prefered Vujacic as a tall point guard because I think his size creates more problems and because he's a better pressure defender than off the ball defender. Having a backup guard who's 6-7 gives your team a lot of flexibility in lineups.

I found your statement interesting. As a Lakers fan, I don't like Kobe's game or Jordan's game. My favorite is always Magic's passing game. That being said, I am a Lakers fan first. So I still will cheer for Kobe.

My "hate" of Kobe doesn't relate to on court activities.  Celtics green is a great team color, it was another shade of green that kept Kobe out of jail.

Personally, I'll remember fondly of Kobe's game. And I don't hate him. But I wouldn't like to see such a morally challenged guy dressed in green. Doesn't fit.

Amen, Who.  I agree completely.  Yeah, Eddie is a good shooter, but in reality, there is nothing he can do that Sasha Vujacic cannot do.  A tall PG, with speed, athleticism, and good range is always a blessing to have.  And more importantly, I think Sasha Vujacic is OBTAINABLE, given the right moves and shuffling around.  Plus, he has the size to defend against Billups.  Sasha Vujacic is this generation's Danny Ainge, in my view.

We all would like Jose Calderon but he's not obtainable at a price we can afford.  Plus, his outside shooting isn't too much better than Rondo's.

How can we keep Posey and still obtain Vujacic? I'm not even sure we have a realistic chance on Vujacic even if Posey leaves. And in that case, he wouldn't be my first choice.

The laker players are so dramatic sometimes, i don't know if they spend watching movies alot or chill with too many hollywood stars but a couple like vujacic and kobe are dramatic in their reactions i don't know if they should play basketball or win some movie award haha

Our guys are so chilled compared to them. You see posey last nite after he thought odom traveled. He was just grinning and so was doc rivers. Man even though i don't think doc is that good of a coach the guy is a joker. He just laughs at the refs calls

Posey makes close to 3.5 Mill.  He won't get an offer much better than that, anywhere.  Ainge can give him the same salary, on a 3-year contract and that will be more than fair.  That's comparable to Bruce Bowen's salary.  And one could argue that there is really nothing Posey can do that Bowen can't.  Bowen just might be the best defender at that position.  And Bowen can also hit from long distance.  The last thing we want to do is overpay a player, even if he is very good. 

Vujacic is obtainable.  We will need to let some guys go, like Pollard, Cassell, and maybe buy out Scal's and Tony's contracts.  But it will be worth it to get a tall, true PG, who has proven that he is lethal from 3-point land.  And he's got Finals experience, by next year.  I think Vujacic shot over 45% from 3-point land during the regular season.
