Although I really don't take what I do seriously, I thought it would be cool to talk about our changes in behavior, etc. (if any) from the first half of the first game to the second half in order to give us the best chance to win, especially since this was really a tale of two halves.

All I know is that I was beyond angry in the first half. Was simply wearing a Celtics cap and my green 'Just Do It' New Amsterdam shirt and some grey shorts. This combination showed some success in a couple of games in previous series, so I went with that. Put my air conditioner on the number 17, and turned the volume down to 17 too. Then we had an awful half with horrible energy defensively. I was beyond angry.

I threw my Celtics hat to who knows where, then I went to take a shower. Needed to clean away all the impurities of the first half. Then I came back with a long sleeve shirt from the Celtics (the black one with green sleeves that says Celtics in the front), I put my Celtics hat back on and ate a couple of peanut butter bars to calm myself a bit. I also put on some random yellow shorts I found (yes, I have no idea why made this choice, thinking back it was poor judgement from myself... but hey, it worked). I couldn't hear the tv well, so I turned the volume up to 25... one more than Bryant, to trump him.  But here's what I thought was more important, I closed all my internet windows, in particular anything that had to do with CelticsBlog and more importantly ESPN.

So then the second half came, we started playing to our capabilities, then the Pierce injury happened. Once again I threw my hat in disbelief and then I noticed my blunder... I had left a freaking ESPN internet window open in my other laptop. Big mistake from myself, so I closed it.

And the rest his history, with a combination of a shower, my cap-less self, with my Celtics shirt, my gold shorts, air conditioner at 17, volume at 25, internet closed, and eating a couple of peanut butter chocolate bars for the nerves, the Celtics killed the Lakers in the 2nd half. Expect more of the same from now on.

Any similar stories from you guys, just for fun?

Budweiser - that's classic.

me & a buddy down here in knoxville who share a 40 year love of the Celtics do the same thing. we talk back & forth on the phone during games about what to wear, what to drink, pace or sit, volume off or on, make a pre-game call or not, etc, etc, etc.

pretty funny how we somehow imagine that some little phone call made hundreds of miles away is going to effect a Celtics game.
